We had quite the ice storm in our area last yearon this date. Our immediate area was paralyzed with ice on the streets and sidewalks. Below is a photo of our fence surrounding our patio. The neighbor's tree branch fell and pounded the fence about 3 feet into the ground. They never recognized this issue and let it go as if they didn't see it. A few weeks ago they removed the tree that caused the damage. Again, nothing more was said about the fence. We haven't repaired it yet and were waiting to see what, if anything, they would offer to do. Has anything like this happened to your property as a result of a neighbor's neglect of their tree(s)? I am still livid over the incident and don't understand how someone can simply avoid their responsibility and go on with life. I submitted photos to our insurance company but don't feel it's our responsibility to pay for any repairs. Am still trying to get my husband to talk with the man next door but he's not moving real fast!

Hello carol bee friend. It is a real disaster when there is a heavy ice storm or snowstorm or such. I am glad that we don't have such ice storm in the south of my country, nor do we have snowstorm, but we have flood almost every year in the hot summer like July and August when it is extremely hot because of the arrival of typhoon, causing so much damage to things and our crops and endangering people's lives. Thanks for your discussion, dear carol friend.

And your fench still looks like that? I would be livid too maybe you should go talk to them together. I dont think you should have to pay for the repairs either. Maybe you can send them a certified letter I know they are only right next door but At least that way you know they recived the letter. or you call just CALL JUDGE JUDY. Good luck with it all Carol.
