There are so many things really. One is if we do not work, we should not eat. Also, we should work so that we have something to share to others, not to store for ourselves but to share to others and that's the way of God - sharing the God-given gifts to others especially the unable. God also wants us to enjoy the fruits of the labor of our hands, that's how God so loves us and He doesn't forsake us.
