Why should we not talk?

Be quite! Keep silence! This was written and displayed in our class room. Whenever students wanted to talk loudly, the teacher used to try to make shut up the shouting class. This all was up to our class. Now we learn in our practical life that we should not talk as much as we want to talk. More chatty people make more and more mistakes. There fore we should keep our self silent. A silent person is called a wise while a person, who is in habit to talk more than need could not be called wise. Is it true? What is the reason?

A person keep slient when he(she) should say something ,we could think he was too dull or something else. To be a wise man,in my view, keep slient is not a good way.

Hi sheenshaukat, When I was a boy there was a saying, 'children should be seen and not heard'. I've never agreed with that, children must be encouraged to ask questions, otherwise they cannot learn. Adults who just talk about anything without giving it thought, are not considered wise, because they haven't taken time to listen to the opinions of others. A wise person is one who listens quietly and after much thought and contemplation makes his/her decision. Those whom history claims among its wisest were known to be great thinkers. Blessings.
