What toothpaste do you use?

I use Close Up the red gel. I don't know why I started using this one, but it has been my brand of choice for many years now. Do you prefer a whitening toothpaste to a regular one? Why? Do you use teeth whitening strips? If you do, which ones do you use? Thanks for reading, Taz

My family used to always use Colgate, but it just wasn't for me. I had to find something that didn't leave a bad taste in my mouth. Colgate always made me feel like I had chalk or something in my mouth, so I stopped using it and now all that I use is Close Up Whitening or the original Red Gel. Take care!!

I used to use a Crest Whitening one, but after getting braces some of my teeth felt pretty sensitive, so I switched to Sensodyne Maximum Strength With Fluoride. I really like this one, so I'm going to stick with it for a while. I've never tried whitening strips, but after I get my braces off I think I'll buy some.

I can't really get into the flavor of Sensodyne. The one I tried tastes like chalk...lol. Good luck with your braces!!

my husband and i are using colgate right now. sometimes we use close up too. it depends on what we feel like getting when we're doing the groceries. my kids use colgate kiddie toothpaste and enjoy brushing their teeth a lot. especially my 1 year and 7 month old girl, she oftentimes chews on the toothpaste and doesn't spit it out.

Do you buy what's on sale normally? Just curious because I know a lot of people that do that. I just can't do it. If it's not Close Up, 9 times out of 10, I won't use it. You've gotta be careful with your little one not spitting out the toothpaste. I read somewhere that it is bad to swallow large amounts of toothpaste. You may want to check that out. Thanks for stopping by!

Lorelai, I don't mean to sound silly, but what is AZ? I've never heard of it.

I have always been a big fan of Crest, I always used Crest, but sometimes I will get the whitening and sometimes I will get the tarter control. As long as it is Crest than I will use it.

well, my friend, it actually doesn't matter what toothpaste you use because 95% work is done by the toothbrush. so it the toothbrush you should concentrate on. And, while buying a toothpaste always look for the one without baking soda. I use colgate b'coz it is approved by IDA. But, as i mentioned earlier it is the toothbrush u should concentrate on.

I use colgate. I prefer the non gelled version and also I prefer a tooth paste that would maintain my mouth healthy than camouflage the bacteria with some perfume for some time. Do you use whitening strips? Dont you fear it will cause a loos of fluoride?
