Is world is going to an END due to mass destructive DESEASE?

Thanks, we are not facing such problem in present days. But, it made to think after watching few movies like Resident Evil, 27 days later, and movie on Bird flue that it could be possible. In an era of terrorism, we all know we are facing such threats from those EVILS of humanity.
So, what you think about this? Is this possible in near future and if this occurs than how deadly it could be for human civilisation?
I pray to God that it should not occur. But, if by any chance this type of mass destruction happens in our time, we will lose more than half of the human population.

I do believe this will happen. I'm not an expert but I also believe the end times are near and the way things are on earth today will only continue to get worse.

I figure I have no control over the world and the way it's distroying itself, mankind, so I spend my time praying for others that they will be prepared when the time does come. I know many will disagree but my belief is that it will happen, just a matter of time and only One knows when that will be.

Yes I do believe that there are times that these things will happen as there are new diseases sprouting here and there which before was not occuring at all. AIDS is one of them and so far we have not founf a complete cure for that so as with cancer which has become and age old mystery why this diseases are quite deadly. I guess it has something to do with the evolution of our race. Somewhere along the line our civilization is growing to something and along its grwoth we encounter obstacles some we succeed to overcome and some remains obstacles in our growth. But there will come a time that we may not be able to cope with the challenge. Hopefully this time has no yet arrived.

You won't believe with the advancement in Genetic Engineering, it is possible to make viruses which are thousands times more destructive and intelligent than that previous race. I hope this technology never comes in to wrong hands.

The idea is really possible. The biggest challenge we are facing right now is how to instill the proper values to our kids so that if they become the engineers, scientists, and/or nation builders of the future their actions will be pro-life and they will be responsible citizens.
