If you child killed any animal, would you want them punished?

I know I would. Torturing and/or killing any animal (for reasons other than food) should be a jail time sentence that includes psychiatric help. If it was my son I would want to make sure he was punished for his crime and got the help he needed. People who kill animals should be considered murderers.

I agree. I would want any child of mine punished. It is well known that injuring or killing animals, particularly pets, sometimes leads to crimes against humans.
How a person treats an animal is indictive of their nature.
I would be very worried if a child of mine did such a thing. But then I think certain signs in their personality would have shown themselves prior to killing a pet.
