If you could make a small amount that turned into huge profits

If you were able to take a small amount of your time and turn it into huge profits, would you do it? Take Mylot for example, we often here of people complaining about not being able to make money on here and yet we don't really see them putting in the effort to do well either. For the first few months that I was here on mylot, I didn't make hardly anything and it took me two months just to reach payout on my own. I found out the secret to getting money on a regular basis with little effort. I found this through getting referrals. After getting my first few referrals and seeing what potential that I could possible have by getting more referrals, I was hooked. There are people out there that say that getting referrals is hard and this may be true but you have to be willing to work at it and work hard in the beginning. I sat up my first blog to help others succeed the way that I have and through this I was able to gain even more referrals and not just through mylot but for other sites that I am currently a member of. Now, for those of you who say that there is no one left to refer to mylot, you are wrong. I am still getting referrals to this site and you can too if you try enough. What do you think about getting referrals to programs and what has worked for you?

To be completely honest my thought on the subject was pretty stupid. I figured that since I didn't know anyone that I will never have a referral...cause I need to know them in order to refer them. But you do have a point, I also have a blog site that I never once thought about making a blog in order to make referrals. But then again, because I do love to talk so much I haven't had a problem making payout. But that is just me.

Even if you are not use to getting referrals online, you can still do it by sneaking in links on your blog. For instance; if you were to write a post on marketing strategies, you could add in your referral link by saying that (mylot) has a lot of great information from people around the world who are doing the marketing thing while they are online.

Referrals are great but they don't mean anything unless they're active. I haven't been actively seeking referrals lately even if I get some it's nice but I don't jump for joy unless they actually do something. I don't rely on referrals to make me money because maybe one out of 10 will actually be active. If they do that's great and I'm happy but I don't have great expectations of them lasting.

I push my referrals by giving them a plan and a goal to look forward too. I try to get them motivated enough about what they are doing that they will at least want to stick it out until they make the first payout so that they can see that it pays. I also give them a quick guide that they can follow that will help them to gain referrals for themselves and I try to teach them how to motivate their referrals also so that they can gain from the profits.

That's good you do that. Maybe that's what I need to do to make sure they are working. One program I'm in I have over 100 referrals but not one of them does anything. I email them every month no one contacts me either. I'm starting to send emails twice a month. Like the saying goes you can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink. I can try but I can't make them do anything.

Well, it hasn't helped me a lot here on myLot. At first I thought it was great; but, several of my referrals signed up and then did absolutely nothing. I also found out the "hard way" that if your referral quits, myLot takes back ALL of the referrral earnings you had accumulated for that referral. I had two referrals, who decided other sites paid more; so, they quit and when my "referral earnings" suddenly went from a couple of dollars to ZERO, I asked the site administrators and they told me the people had "quit" the site; so, the site took back the earnings.

I have a lot of referrals here on mylot and about 75% of them are not active but I keep trying so that when i do get a few that are active, I profit greatly from them. All it takes is a few referrals that are active to make a better income.

I agree with you we can all make money but it needs effort. I have this friend who is always broke. He spends a lot of time on different chats and on MSN. I told him to start to use myLot because he'd have to do the same thing but for money. He asked me how much do they pay and I told him that I got 1,20$ one day. He said 1,20$ was nothing and that that's not money. That really pissed me off. I mean, I'd rather spend my day writing on myLot for 1,20$ then on msn for nothing but he doesn't agree. And about referrals. I tried everything from different link exchanges to a lot of different stuff (except a blog) but it seems I can't get any referrals. That idea with a blog is very interesting and I'll try it. Thanks for your advice. I referred one friend of mine who was pretty enthusiastic about all this but she wrote 3 posts and that's it. I think that people today want 1000$ to write 3 words and then they'd be happy. I think that earning money is a process and I hope to find some referrals soon.

Another thing that I have tried that worked was to get referrals for other programs that I am a member of and once those referrals seemed to be succeeding pretty well, I sent them some information about mylot to get them involved with this program. There was a few who signed up and seemed to enjoy it but I only promote sites that I know will pay so that I do not ruin my name.
