Is it players are paid too much money? It seems more and more we hear stories of players fighting with coaches, players running to the media when they don't get their way. Some players today behave like spoiled children.

I think sports is now a complete business. Of course, there is a lot of money involved and there are also too many stakeholders. So coaches, managers, team officials, players, players' agents, media all these get involved in very small small issues and mostly muddy it and this results in all thes constant spats and fights. I think the game is the loser in the longer run. Cheers! Ram

It seems coaches have less power and the players know it.

Sports today is already a profession. You can become a millionaire through sports. Companies and sports clubs pay a lot. Gone are the days when sports are played just for pleasure and entertainment. Today, they play for money. Covetousness and greed comes in. Players are not playing already for entertainment or just a past-time but for money. No wonder, many players are arrogant, no respect for other players and coaches. It is becoming evil... Sorry for my word but it is!

It's sad that there are fewer and fewer players you can point to and tell a kid in pee wee football to try and be like that guy.

I think it is because nowadays players have lots of offers , so they demand a lot from their club instead of concentrating playing football.

i understand one thing about human nature generally and that is, everyone wants to create ascene where they will be known.but then you can not force fame on your self...you must possess that ingenuity of fame growing naturally from withing you.my friend el-hajj diuf of the bolton wanderer always get booed all the time.the world all time best players are natural players...pele,ronaldo,rivaldo,etc are just there naturally to make the world go round.in africa,we got jj okocha, george opon weah of liberia etc...great players and disciplined..the world is changing, some people just wanna be heard thats all.
