I've recently joined the Facebook.com network. Have you ever tried it? I find it fully compatible with my posting here in mylot, because i use that one mainly to share pictures and stuff with my friends, whereas here i open my thoughts and imagination to all the huge mylot family.
I strongly suggest you all giving it a try, and let me know how it goes. And if you are already in there, please let me know what you think ok?

I have been using facebook for about a month now, it has been alot more interesting than some other popular networking sites.
Others like myspace seem to have alot of errors and a few others i use to enjoy going on have become overcrowded and now they seem to focus on getting more members, not making the site better.
Facebook seems to be getting more popular, but is still improving the site and creating new games and applications to add to your own profile.
It would be nice if they added an application that lets everyone change the colours and layout of their own profile.
I like the feature that lets everyone block the public from viewing their photos and only let their friends see them.

I personally don't block my pictures to anybody, basically because there's nothing to hide and that's why i post them there,...if there were pictures i only wanted someone to see i would simply mail them or similar, but anyway it's a personal preference and it's fine. I agree with you that it's getting more and more popular, basically because it provides way more options than other networks like myspace, for instance...even though i think they should improve in the site's customizing part...but i am sure they will.

I signed up, but I don't really use it because I find it so confusing with all the different applications and things - I never know what I'm doing!
It did enable me to get in contact with people I'd lost touch with though, so that's one good point to it.

hahah, I know what you're saying, i hear that phaedra really. Sometimes it can be misleading with so many options available! but yeah, as you said, it's awesome when you have friends that live far away from you, or even for meeting new friends through the net. Thank you for replying.

Hi LightninStrike! I just checked on Facebook awhile ago because a fellow mylotter shared her photos of her pet cat who passed away today. I really don't know much about it but checking on the photos on the site really was easy and reloading is fast. Just my thoughts. take care and have a nice day! :)

I do have a facebook. I am overwhelmed by the applications it has. Really. Anyways, I find friendster simpler and multiply quite customized to me. Facebook is ok, really, especially since I am connected with friends from the US.

i am truly addicted to facebook... haha i must be when i have 3 different accounts... 1 for just anyone... another for strictly family... and the other just for friends and ppl that i trust... i dont know what i would do without facebook haha im on it right now and on here posting

I only have one account, even though i was thinking about getting a new one, but finally i won't due to several reasons. But i like the one i have, and i have fun messing up with it. Anyway , with one facebook, one myspace and one mylot account i think i got more than enough already lol.

Yep! I am very familiar with Facebook and I have an account there :-D I actually love the place too for various reasons..Its fun, I've reconnected wiht ppl from yrs ago that I'd lost touch with..I like a lot of the applications too and there isnt nearly the nonsense on Facebook that goes on at Myspace..

Sometimes it gets a bit complicated with so many options available...it's true that other networks are easier, even though none of the ones i know give you as many options as this does. I suppose it's just a matter of getting used to it. Thanks for replying as always, Calais!

I am already there. I didnt think there was anyone left on EARTH that hadn't heard of facebook, or as i like to referre to it as, facebox. I have no idea why i call it that, but it stuck from when i first joined up.
I am actually even in the "i'm addicted to mylot.com" group i think!

I wouldn't say i am addicted to any of both, but i like them both...Facebook is nice to keep in touch with friends, whereas mylot is something i use to spread my thoughts when i feel like it. It demands a bigger effort obviously since you have to write to people and get some inspiration, but i find it really healthy and relaxing sometimes, specially when you're missing someone special really bad as i am this morning. This lets me focus in this and not in that, so it works for me :)

yes, I am amember since January I guess, have few friends also..but I do not log in regularly specially on busy days..but it's good..staying in touch with all your friends,uploading photos and commenting to your friends photos,over all it's great site too!

I like the "tagging pictures" option..that way you can have lots of pictures from an event without having to take them yourself...your friends bring their cameras and once uploaded they tag you up in them so they automatically become your pictures too, i think that's cool. Thank you for replying.

I do know face book and have friends that use it alot. I use It some for my reiki and meditation group but one of my employees thought it was only for young single christian college students was hurt and offended when she found out that any could join. Don't know this attitude confused me. Mostly I stay at mylot and yuwie when I have time.

I tried to join Facebook one time but, I don't remember what happened, It just didn't work out. Is it a lot better than myspace? I hate myspace. All I can say is myspace and High School don't mix at all. What's so good about facebook?

Well facebook, as myspace, are good if they fit what you want or need. myspace and facebook are different though. Facebook has way more possibilities with different fun applications and pictures, and myspace is better for things like blogging etc. Also myspace has a better customizing set of tools for your profile...but In whole i think that facebook has more possibilities. Anyway it's just up to you :)

i personally have a facebook and dont use it i have found myspace.com easier and more enjoyable for me most of my friends are on there and it is very easy to search for people and browse the profile set up is also more geared to my style.
