Today I recived some sad news. My uncles nephew is on life suport. The reason is all his organs are failing. The reason Alcohol. I knew he drenk a lot but I didnt know how serius it was. Few months ago his mother had to go to his sisters house for 2 days as she was in hospital. In that time he drank so much he had to be taken to emergency. This time he is much worse doctors still dont know if he is going to make it or not if he does most likely they will have to amputate his legs and he will be disabled (both mentaly and phisicly) but they think the chances of him dying are biger. It is sad as he is only few years older than me which would make him about 30. Also there is an investigation to see how he god hold of alcohol.

Anything taken to excess can kill you not just alcahol. Too many vitamins or medications, too much food, exercise, almost anything, even things that are supposed to be good for you could kill you if you overdo it. Its not the alcahol that did it, It's his stupidity.

I didnt say that would happen to everyone I said that he was a heavy drinker that makes a difference. In those cases its beyond stupidity as its not once or twice a year aclcohol was his life.

In the beginning I thought you were talking about a teenager, like 16 or 17. But 30? Whoa, you'd think he'd know better. You'd think he would have enough maturity to control his drinking. But I will pray for him.

no he is not teenager I have never seen him without a drink but I never imagined it would come to this. My cousin told me that he said to her few weeks ago that he has cancer thats why he is so unwell not because he is drinking. That shows how much he was ignoring his problem.

Congratulations on staying sobber for so long I know it takes a lot to be able to do that. I hardly ever drink but I smoke so I know how hard it is to give up something you enjoy. I used to smoke a packet a day now I smoke 1 packet a week which is still bad. I also did that for my son if I smoke 1 packet a day all he would see would have been smoke in my hand. With 4-5 a day he hardly ever sees me with a smoke.
