Mike Huckabee for PRESIDENT of the USA!

United States

Sigh, I don't think so. Please, don't vote for Mike Huckabee. Candidates with so little respect for the electorate that they blatently lie need not ever be put in office, especially in this the age of the internet. We can get the word out. Read about Mike Huckabee's latest lie here. http://worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=59222 Do you think Mike Huckabee would make a good President of the USA? What do you think of lying candidates?

Right now I have not completely made up my mind on who should be the next president. But I can tell you who it shouldn't be, Clinton, Obama or Edwards. I've looked at their platforms and to the last they all would require a larger government bureaucracy and higher taxes. I am not in love with any one of the Republicans in all regards. What I woudl like is someone that is serious on border security and reducing the burden Legal Americans pay for illegals in this country and someone that understands economics well enough to realize that raising taxes actually stifles growth rather than fosters it.

Hello Red, I don't know how I missed this thread. Duncan Hunter is my first choice, as well. To those who accurately point out that he's a second-tier candidate, and can never get elected as second-tier, I would offer that there's plenty of time to get this true Conservative off the second-tier shelf. The best way to make that happen is to send that $20, $50, or $100 check to Hunter's campaign. The media will continue to ignore any candidate who can't fill their network coffers. So, if we want the kind of candidate that Wingedman described, then we need to step up and help make it happen.

I'm not american so I can't vote for the elections, but I think you are right. It was very stupid of him to lie knowing that he would be immediatly discovered. I'm even more puzzled that he said he had a teology degree. Is knowing who has the theology degree really important in choosing a president? Being a person with family values that has a degree in political science (I don't know how you call that degree in your country) should be enough.

Yes, you are right. It was a stupid lie. I'm guessing that since Americans once elected the world champion liar President, some of the other candidates think it is an asset to be known as a liar.

Wow, that was pretty silly. I reckon the US should pick someone like a completley impartial (I know Red, I said before) unbiased person like me, a foreigner, to run the show for the term. (but no foreigners allowed, yet). How about, you get conpulsory referendums on all major decisions. You still can have a Prez, but it will be more of an international figure head, than the most powerfull person in the world. You wouldn't need opposition parties then either, because politicians would become the civil servants they should be. Working on delivering what the people want, and sorting out things to keep it that way. At the moment I think I see a world wide mutation of democracy, into Democratic, Facist, Communism. This is where you get to vote into power, the people that will take away what you now have. Kev.

Lying candidates are just like any other lyers, you cannot trust them. Of course that never kept someone from becoming President. People are stupid they will vote for him anyway. That little trick he did with the cross behind him in the add was cute too. Lets see how far that gets him. I will not be voting for him!

He'd make a better one than Obama Bin Laden. I can not stand that man. I watched a commercial on TV for Huckabee this AM on Today show. The commerical showed him sitting in front of a book case, but the camera angle made it look like a cross with Huck on one side and a Christmas tree on the other. Personally, if anyone wins, I hope Hillary gets it. Bill was a great president and I think she'd do the same.

Hillary cannot compare to Bill. I don't think he even really wants her in office after what he said the other day.

So who would you suggest voting for? Huck lied about having a Theology degree ... Hilary is a criminal. Rudy cheats on his wife/wives and his own children hate him. That one guy who's name I can't spell believes in aliens and ufo's. I believe that the Boston Globe reported that Romney has the lowest support of all elephants in his own state... Honestly Huck seems the lesser of all evils.

I hadn't heard of that story either until right now, but I certainly had no intention of voting for him. It's a scary thought, President Huckabee! What in the world is the attraction that he managed to win in Iowa? Are there that many religious fanatics who really believe his every word? Annie

anniepa! How about this! We finally agree on something. That makes me so happy. I really don't like being at odds with people like we usually are. As to Huckabee winning in Iowa, YES, there are that many religious fanatics there who believe his every word. Pollsters have broken down the results and exactly that kind of people is where the Huckster got most of his support. Once the primary moves out of the bible belt states look for the Huckster to do much more poorly.
