I just noticed lately ..q-tips laying around my floor..Then I noticed..my youngest Gracie..tossing carrying one in her mouth. She throws it up in the air and then runs after it. It's not that she doesn't have cat toys..LOL ..I have bought all kinds..No, she prefers to get in the box..even when I turn it upside down to conceal the opening she gets it open. Missy the older one has taken a liking to this game too. Arent cats funny? Just like kids..you buy lots of toys and in the end they want to play with something that is not even considered a "cat toy" Anyone else find this happening..Perhaps you should try..I never thought cats would like them so much...that is q-tips..I, no sooner pick them up, they come running out of the bathroom with some more:)

Aww.. that's so cute! When I saw the title of your discussion I thought they're using it for their ears (haha silly me) That is so cute of Gracie.. I love cats too, and they can really make you happy, cheer you up especially when you're having a bad day. *Cheers*

Ha ha..I thought it would be a catchy title..My cats are so "human" in their way of acting..They think they should do everything I do..only I don't throw q-tips all over the floor!!

My cat is my baby, Kitcat is her name. I just love her so much. She also has a lot of cat toys that she's not so interested in so we have tried puppy toys and that didn't work either. Kitcat likes other things too, things that aren't for her. One day my husband was fixing one of his fishing poles and took it outside to see if it was working and kitcat was chasing the rubber worm that was on it. My husband kept chasing her away from it, but she kept comming back. So my husband fixed up an old fishing pole just for her and she is so hooked on it (excuse the pun) she just loves it and now that's her favorite thing to play with, in the house or outside. It's also great exercise for her during the winter months. My husband loves it too, he laughs so hard when THEY are playing with it, and I laugh at both of them, my husband calls it cat fishing. Kitcat knows where it is and when she is ready to play, she goes to her fishing pole and nudges and rubs up against it until we play, then it's hard to get her to stop. It really is so much fun, you should try it.

My cats are obsessed with Q-Tips too. They roll around all over the place with them when they manage to get one. They like to chew the ends to pieces. I've even caught them going through the trash can for one when they saw me put a used one in there. Eugh!

I havent seen my kitties yet in the trash bag looking for qtips but I havent left the trash low enough for them to dig through..I know that even shopping bags they like to dart into and push around the floor. NO tellin what they would do if I left the trash accessable to their curious claws:)

Hi littlefranciscan! haha..that is funny! How can she (Gracie) toss it up in the air and then runs after it? That must be really so cute to see. Our pets (dogs) like to play with everything that they can find in the graden especially the pails. They usually put their head inside the pail and just walk back and forth in the garden with the pails in their head. I really don't know why they're doing that but we let them anyway because they look so funny. haha..Take care and have a nice day! Merry Christmas! :)

Pets do the strangest things, don't they..Well Gracie is a pro and throwing it up ..she actually gives it a boost while jumping up and pushing the q-tip into the air.

Cats are funny. Mine play with stuff they find. We've had a lady bug infestation and they are finding it great fun. The cats, not the lady bugs. LOL

This is too funny! My little tabby is named Gracie and is a Qtip cat too! She attacks them, hides them so she can hunt them, tosses them around and chases them. As for cat toys, I have a huge orange and white longhair named Booger who just looks at cat toys and looks at me like he's saying, "nice toy, hope you have fun with it." The two girls will play with the little bunny fur mice and anything with nip in it. Yes, I have 3 nip heads...sigh. Little Kitty, Gracie's sister, will play fetch with just about anything! She likes to play fetch the most at about 3am and will bring a ball or a bunny mouse in and drop it on my face. She'll sit and paw at my hand until I wake up and play. Takes about half an hour then she's good til the morning.

The two must be related..Gracie loves qtips better then Missy ..but Missy will wake me up early each morning..she would sit by my pillow with her spongy ball until I throw it for her to fetch..
