I reacted in the same way... our grandson just enlisted in the Air Force, following his Dad's footsteps. They are such special people, willing to do a hard job... they are all heroes!

My son served for 20 years but never made it into any conflict. Now my grandson is considering inlisting when he graduates this coming spring.

Pics need to be published that show real life for the military personnel... the media always go for what they call 'drama' and I call bias... anything that can make the military look bad! Our kids are doing a great job over there at being ambassadors, even during war... the world will change because of who they are and how they work with the citizens of the Middle Eastern countries... something the politicians will take credit for, but certainly did't do. Our s-i-l is retiring next summer, and has already applied with a civilian security company to return in that capacity... they do make us proud of their commitment. Please thank your son, from me and my family, for the job he is doing for the sake of peace in the world.

You're welcome...our son-in-law has been to the Middle East three times... I know that feeling of tension and waiting... they do their jobs well, and they will be fine!

Mazel Tov Alamode! Shalom to you and your Son~in~law. How dare we call ourselves civilized when we can still send our children off this way instead of finding a "civilized way" of dealing with problems.
