I believe all children deserve a loving home,no matter where they come from.Yes we have our fair share of orphans her,but there are orphans everywhere, and I guess some think there doing something better for these kids adopting them from other countries,We wouldn't have this issue if people would take care of there responsiblities.

i dont think it it unfair to adopt from any other country however the point is if your country does have needy and poor children who need a good home, whey would you wanna adopt from another country. I feel your first option should be from your own country though it is not bad to adopt from any other.

even if the child is not from your mother country the fact is that the child needs help. we divide our selves by nationality, but the truth is we are all humans. if you want to help, its your choice. its not selfish, they should be thankful your even trying to help rather than not at all.

It is very trcky, in Chad it is already causing a lot of leg, and politcal concerns. In Malawi, Madona was almost subjected to shame, when she genuinely wantedo give lease of life to the poor orphan-so I think it is not very right to good hunting for children to adopt from foreign countries

I don't think so. As long as you decide to adopt a child, it's already a very generous action. As to the nationality, it is no problem at all.

I would not consider it selfish. Here in the U.S. it is hard for couples who can not have children of their own to find babies to adopt in the U.S. They usually have to go outside the country to find one. While some may consider this selfish because there are a lot of older kids in the U.S. that need a good home, you have to consider that these couples want the chance to raise a child. Also couples who already have children have to think about what is best for their own kids and a lot of the older children here that need homes have behavioral problems that could cause major issues in the household. I think that if a couple does not want an older child, it is best for them not to adopt one anyway. I have considered fostering older children, but am concerned how this will affect my own children.

Adopting should be about giving a lost child a home, a better home than they currently have. It should have nothing to do with race, religion, or nationality. It should be all about giving the MOST disadvantaged children a better chance in life. If that means adopting from outside your own country then so be it. Well, that's the way I feel. If I went mad and thought I had the ability to give my all to a child I would adopt from afar.
