Friend With Similar Situation

I see more clearly every day that there truly are no coincidences. Some of you might remember that I lost my sister last year, followed by the loss of my mother a few months later. Now a similar situation has happened to my friend. She lost her brother during the past summer, and, out of the blue, she got a phone call tonight telling her that her older sister has died. This was totally unexpected, and I feel so sad for her. She is the kind of person who feels things so deeply. There is an old saying that these things come in threes, do you believe this? I do know that I lost two aunts and an uncle close together before the loss of my sister and mother.

Oh worldwise I'm so sorry to hear this. What happened to your friend's sister? Had she been ill at all. It must have been quite a shock for your friend if nothing had been wrong with her sister. I've heard that expression about the "threes" and to be honest don't know if it's true as I never had that experience in my own life. My sincerest condolences for your friend

Yes unfortunately , I do believe deaths do come in threes, especially the famous.Sadly, it seems like there are three famous people that die within days of each other. Please send my love to your friend.Take Care.

I have found that many of the old beliefs, sarah are grounded in truth.

That is so horrible. She is going to have a hard time. It does seem that they come in 3's but not sure whether I believe it or not. It sure doesn't come in singles though.

I see it as one of those old truisms, Thoroughrob, that just might be grounded in reality.

I do believe that deaths come in groups of three. I've also experience this in the past but not with close relatives. I am so sorry for your loss and your friend's loss. It's odd because I had this same discussion this morning over coffee at McDonald's with friends. Most disagreed with this theory about groups of three passing away in a short period of time. They think it's an old wive's tale. Personally, that's not been my experience.

We are on the same page, carolbee, because I have noticed the same thing when famous people die. I think it just happens like that.

If we are to survive, jazzygunz, we must learn to be strong and stay on the path.
