I love buying lottery tickets! I think its a thrill for the few minutes that I could possibly be a winner. I can't imagine what it would be like to have that much money! Although, it is kind of a waste to buy all those tickets--hopefully it will pay off someday!

My parents are very much engaged with it. Almost everyday, they buy lottery. Of course, since it is a game of chance, my parents also rely in the luck that somehow they may win the game. Perhaps, I also buy it sometimes.

I have NEVER bought a lottery ticket, and I pretty much don't plan on it. I had a girlfriend once who spent gobs of money on scratch-off tickets, and the big lottery tickets and it just seemed like a waste of money to me. Sure, she'd win $10 bucks here and there (or more/or less) but she could never make up the amount that she spent, and I sure don't call that even breaking even when you consider how much she spent. Also, the money on the lottery tickets (in MY state) were supposed to go to the school system...and they did not do what they initially promised with that, and the schools get zilch. I might feel somewhat different if the major amt of the money was going to the cause (schools) like it was originally intended!

I used to quite fascinated with lotteries.I used to read about those who won huge amounts in lotteries and What thrill that is.You just pay say Rs.1 and win some like 1 lakh.I used to keep buying lottery tickets in the hope that some day i would get a huge sum of money.Once in a while I used to win small amounts. But then i realised i was spending quite a bit.Actually its a craze which ends you up spending.now lotteries are banned here so i just stopped.

I guess that people think they will win the jackpot. That in one instant all her dreams will come true. I don't like the lottery, but then again I don't like any gambling. I rather use my money to go shopping. But I don't think it should be outlawed or anything. I am just not into it.

Nah, I don't buy lottery tickets because I just don't trust the odds. I know lots of people who buy them, and I feel it's just a waste of money because there is no guarantee you will win.

i prefer the scratch tickets myself.. more likely to win, even if its only another ticket, and you at least get something to do for a few minutes in your life for the few dollars you spend on it.. where as playing the lotto you just pick some numbers or have the machine do it for you and wait around hoping they pick them all.. i buy lottery tickets once in a blue moon but ya its usually the scratch tickets for me :)
