I am someone that stopped watching television. I am not interested in watching sitcoms, soap operas, game shows, etc. I have been turned on to talk radio and I find it quite daring and provocative. I get the current world and local news on the radio as well. I find talk radio so appealing that I listen to it everyday. I think talk radio allows discussion and debate on all kinds of issues and promotes us to think. There are many talk radio shows, talk radio show hosts, topics; and views, that when discussed can be entertaining and informative. Do you listen to talk radio? Do you get it streamed online? Do you have a favorite talk radio show? Let's discuss this.

I still watch tv. Just more Discovery channel. More history channel. Lots of Animal Planet. Educational programs for my daughter. Not so much the crud. Reality tv gone too far. NPR would be the radio show of choice. Mostly in our car.

Talk radio has a way of grabbing you and hanging on. I listen to progressive talk radio all day long on my job and when I'm in the car. My favorite show is the Randi Rhodes Show that I stream from Nova M Radio. I know that everything that Randi talks about is the absolute truth. She does so much research, and expects the same from her listeners. She actually has a place on her website called "homework", for listeners to educate themselves. Very informative and entertaining.

Hello Aspen7698, Thank you for your response. Her talk radio show sounds like serious business. Homework? Wow. Take Care and Happy New Year. Don't forget to do your homework.

I listen to talk radio. I started listening to Wisconsin Public Radio and found the morning show to be the best. The host would have supporters of both side of a topic on on different days. He would always play the opponent and would have great discussions. When he retired his repalcement turned the curent events show into a show that promoted liberal causes and you got a steady stream of one side. I now listen to consertive talk radio. What I like is they make no bones about the fact that they are consertive and present the consertive side of the argument. If a liberal caller calls in they will have a discussion and try to convince them otherwise. Like the Public Radio host I liked the consertive talk hosts use a lot of facts and not much emotion.
