How do i wing my husband off Dr. Pepper?

I am sure there are a lot of addictions and Dr. Pepper is probably one of the least serious, BUT... My husband is addicted. If there was a rehab clinic out there with some sort of 12-step program i would get his friends and family together and stage an intervention. Dr. Pepper is his breakfast. He'll go a whole day with nothing but Dr. Pepper for breaky and snacks. He is not completely unhealthy. He looks a little pudgy, but that is all for the outward appearances (he probably has a Dr. Pepper logo somewhere in his stomach). We just had a baby girl at the end of October and i do not want her to see his bad habits and pick them up when she gets older. I am no angel - i have my faults, but one thing at a time... Is there anyone out there with some alternatives that i can shove down his throat that are at least a little healthy that taste about the same?

I can't really help you, because I have to admit, I too am a DP addict! I love the drink. It isn't the only think I drink, but it is by far my favorite! I noticed the lady above me mentioned juices. You have to be careful, because many juices and juice drinks have as many grams of sugar as sodas do! They are also high in acid content. I have IBS and acid reflux and have been told to stay away from juice all together. I love apple juice and cran-apple as well, so it really upset me, but it certainly does tend to upset my stomach. Perhaps your husband and I should start a Dr Pepper Support group! HA HA My sister could be a member as could my daughter's boyfriend.
