Do you have any idea? I've seen two of my discussions in there and I'm so glad! But how do you really have your discussion on the hot topics for the day?

Well it is simple , if you analyze the topics listed under "today's hot topics" , then you will find out some unique features that you will not see in other topics for example the number of responses is very high , responses are generated promptly i.e time delay between two consecutive responses is lesser as compared to topics that are not listed in this category. These unique features make those topics a "Hot Topic"

By the quantity of responses you get. If you get more than most of the other discussions posted that day then it is considered a hot topic. Which means it is very popular, and is easy to respond to.

For the time I've been here, I never payed attention to it. I mostly look and search under the "today's top discussions" list, I guess the admin is the one who really puts such topics on where they should be. There are other posts I;ve seen that should deserve to be on that category, but when I browse through it, I can't find them there. The best tip I could give you is, try contacting the admin through PM and ask them. With that, you can find better and concrete answers..

Basically, I would think that it is a topic, that everybody responds to, is interested in or wants to make a comment on!

Hello dear glitzypurple. I think that when there are quite a few responses to a discussion within a day, it will be pushed to either to a hot or a top discussion today. Have you ever noticed this, please? I did. Thanks.

maybe mylot see a hot topic as a discussion that has lots of responses in it or maybe a discussion that has lots of controversies in it.lucky for you to have two of your discussions there.congratulations i hope you can make more of those quality discussions.

I'm guessing as other forums I go on, it's by the amount of posts or responses in this case that go into the discussion and on top of that for this site all the extra comments within the discussion on the responses.
