The difference between JOY and PLEASURE

January 7, 2008 5:33am CST
Early in the morning, I was still chatting with a boardmate and he asked me what the difference is between JOY and PLEASURE. I told him that for me pleasure is a short term emotion that satisfies me at the instant and the opposite for JOY, it's long term and it is also something that you can enjoy and be proud of when you look back in the future. What's yours?

To me they both mean the same thing. Happiness. For now and for the future. Not just temporarily as you speak. They mean for now and always, I hope.
