Cricket is a gentlemens' game, the term sports person imoplies a person who is fair, a true 'sportsman', so to say. This is what I heard a few people discussing today. Please do offer your comments, lets have a healthy and clean debate.

To be honest I dont watch cricket that much so I wont be able to have a great answer for you but I will give you a point of view from an outsider so to speak. I dont mind the sport that much and I agree it is less rough or violent than most. It is also fair sport. What gets me is how much people that play it (for Australia) get involved in not so nice things and that makes bigger headlines than their game. Do I need to point fingers? Lets just mention 1 who has had 1000 girlfriends and his wife left him oh I dont know how many times I have lost count. To me if you are great sportsman you have to be great when you play and when you dont. What is that showing people.

Though the Australians started the current trend of behavior, (or shall I say misbehavior?), sadly it has caught on and afflicted cricketers from the other countries too, maybe not as severely as the Aussies, though. Thanks for your response.
