got this from my friend...i really like it...and speaks of my conviction. thought i would share it with you. take care and God bless you! :-) I'm part of the fellowship of the unashamed. I have stepped over the line. The decision has been made. I'm a disciple of Jesus Christ. I won't look back, let up, slow down, back away, or be still. My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, my future is secure. I'm finished and done with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tamed visions, mundane talking, cheap living, and dwarfed goals. I no longer need preeminence, prosperity, position, promotion, or popularity. I don't have to be right, first, top, recognized, praised, regarded, or rewarded. I now live by faith, lean on His presence, walk by patience, lift by praye, and labor by power. My face is set, my gait is fast, my goal is Heaven, my road is narrow, my way rough, my companions few, my guide reliable, my mission clear. I can't be bought, deluded, or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversary, negotiate at the table of the enemy, or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I won't give up, shut up, let up, til I have stayed up, stored up, prayed up, paid up, and preached up for the cause of Christ. I am the disciple of Jesus. I must go til He comes, give til I drop, preach til all know, and work til He stops me. And when He comes for His own, He will have no problem recognizing me......... MY BANNER IS CLEAR!

Oh I really like this. I will no hesitate in the presence of adversary or negotiate at the table of the enemy or meander in the maze of mediocrity. Why do Christians do all these things? I know I am so guilty of this! I have a horrible habit of doing just enough in my Christian walk to scrape by and then wonder how come I am not reaping any benefits or having the faith to stand up when tough times come my way.

hi carpenter! it is because we are not perfect and as sinful individuals we are still prone to do wrong and stupid things, even if we are already christians. the thing is, when we decided to follow Jesus we didn't become righteous in ourselves but were only clothed with Jesus' righteousness. as such, we only admitted that we are only sinners saved by grace. this truth will keep up from getting guilty each time we fall. but of course, we should ask for forgiveness each day of our lives, for there is no day that passes that we don't sin, even in our thoughts and feelings. God bless you friend! keep the faith and keep on running the race! take care always! :-)

Thanks for the best response by the way. Sorry I was the only response. I think with the holidays that people aren't on here as much. There are several of the "regulars" that I haven't seen much of in the last few weeks. I was one of the missing for a while.
