what is the meaning of life?

birth is the preperation of death.We all know that death may come any time knocking and life is ephemeral still we spend our entire lifetime amassing wealth and worldly things without thinking a bit that we may not b there to enjoy all that we struggled to achieve those things we struggled to achieve forgetting the present today chasing a mirage called happiness.has anyone got meaning for life and why we are here ?

With the way things usually go in my life, i think the best part is when my life comes to an end. I think I am only here to serve others and never enjoy anything. I have come to accept that but it makes me very discouraged and very tired. I don't think I will ever find true happiness while on this earth, but I sure do try each and every day.
