What is up with the earnings Update

I don't know if anyone has noticed, but admin is a little late today with the earnings update. They usually have it together by 9am EST, but today when I come in, at 9:30, I notice that my earnings haven't changed (What the hey?!?)
I look down, and I see under the referrals, it says earning updated 1 day ago. This is the first I have seen it say that in the eleven months that I have been a member. I wonder what the problem is, this is not like MyLot, at least from my knowledge.
I am only 85 cents away from my first payout, and I am eager to get this, not only to have my first payout, but I will be at 500 posts which means I can copy and paste (Yay!!!) any way, admin is slipping, whats up with that?

Yup I've noticed too. I normally get an update by 9am too and it's almost 11 now. Oh well, i hope it's fixed soon. Or maybe the previous poster is right... Big Cheque anyone? wooohooooo!!! hey let me dream!

Where are you located? I mean, if I usually see my earnings at 9a and its almost 10 here, how are you seeings yours also at 9a, and its almost 11a where you are?

I didn't check until noon (my usual time), so I didn't notice. I do know that when I was waking up earlier; between 8:30 and 9 am this past summer, I remember mylot always updated at 9 am.
Congratulations on only being 85 cents from payout! I have $2.25 left to go, I need to get busy! I kind of set a goal to finally make payout this month. We'll see though! I was doing really well with activity and then it started to slip a little again. I am happy to report that there are only 2 days that I didn't post this month so far though! And one of those days I was in the car travelling back home for the holidays.

How is it that you have 2.25 to go, but you have almost 700 posts? Don't answer that, I don't want MyLot deleting this post because I'm being too nosy lol.
I am trying to make payout by next week. Also I would like to get 500 posts down at the same time. I really would like to be able to cut and paste in here.

We have been touching on the earning structure a little haven't we? I don't think we got far enough in it to cause a fuss. They just don't want us trying to figure out the formula so we can use it for evil purposes muah-ha-ha-ha!!!
Anyway, one of the things I do is start posts when something is on my mind. I don't just start them to be starting them, I try to make interesting posts that people will respond to. I also have each and every one of my friends activated to send me an e-mail when they start a discussion. This way I have plenty to choose from to write about when I don't have a discussion of my own. Finally, I only respond to discussions that interest me personally. It makes no sense to respond to every discussion when I know a couple of them would only be one or two lines. Its not worth posting unless you can get at least four lines in.

No, it's really not that big of a deal. When I first started I didn't really understand the site. There were discussions that I responded to that were deleted because of everyone putting their links in. Also, I didn't know that you were supposed to REALLY write out a big answer. Sometimes my answers were just a sentence or two. Plus, your star rating makes a difference. I started out a 6, my earnings have actually jumped quite a bit with a 9.
I think maybe you earn more when you start your own discussions as well. I think I have only started like 5. I am just not all that comfortable with it. I would rather answer other people's. Hope that helped to answer in a way that won't cause deletion! :)

They do come in late at times, but they don't really miss those updates -that I assure you!;) It comes in when it says, "earnings updated.. (time)" and not 1 day ago. They are calculating all our earnings, so it takes time for the admin to update it. But don't worry, all of this are just part of the system..
My earnings has gone down for these past two days, I don't worry much since I know I still have a long way to go!;) I decided to save them for a while, so I changed my minimum payment to $25.

For me its always like that,its either in the morning,afternoon or 22 hours later,i dont care when it is as long as it gets in it sometime,hahaha!!For me it was 16 minutes ago,yesterday it was 22 hours later than tuesday,am i making sense,im confused on the last day,hahaha!!!LOl.Frigg!

Yeah, the earnings came in as I was responding to another person who responded in this discussion. I made a whole 13 cents yesterday, yay! I am in the same boat as you PJ, as long as I get my earnings, I'm fine. It was just odd this morning for me to come in and not see my earnings for the previous day, when they usually would be there at 9

I wonder how you did that because I am only a little bit away from five hundred posts and I am not close to payout, I know I am doing something wrong but I dont know what that may be because everyone tells me that if I make longer posts i make more money.

Without saying too much, so Mylot doesn't take this discussion down, it has to do not only with the number of your posts, but the content, length, and popularity. If you look earlier in the discussion, there is someone here who already has I think over 600 posts, and they still had $2.35 to go. So the best way to post for more earnings is make sure your facts are right, add plenty of detail, and make it as interesting as possible. That should help your earnings a lot.

I'm am just wondering the same as well. I also noticed as I've seen one of my friends account that his earning amounts to 30cents where in he's got 29 cents on the participation and 1 cent on referrals. The weird thing is that he doesn't have any referrals so far. So why 1 cent on his earnings? Is this a computation bug? Just wondering....

All this talk about referral earnings without referrals, I had to go check mine because I have two referrals. I have earned 1 or 2 cents here and there for referrals, but not really much. They both were inactive for the longest, one still is, and the other has 18 posts, although they have been here for 8 months. *Sigh* Oh well, better than nothing

I just had to go check on my earning and apparently I've also gained a penny for a non-existing referal! Man I wish s/he would speak up! LOL

The MyLot population has exploded. The staff has to upgrade the infostructure to keep up with the population. Your earning, the computers are keeping track of you, even if it's not noted in your MyLot page as yet. The MyLot page and all the data tracking systems have not shook hands yet. There is more than one data tracking system.

In my case, I can notice 'slumps' for maybe a week or two at a time, then a huge jump in earnings. That means the right data tracking system decides to shake my earning system bot's 'hand'.

There's one that tracks photos, one that tracks negative feedback, one that tracks positive feedback, and one that tracks participation, and those are the only ones I really know about.

Maybe they are going to give us huge increases in our earning sand it is taking awhile to get it figured out. Just kidding... This happens occasionally. It will show up soon. Congrats on being almost to your 500th post.

Well I also noticed that, but a little worried about it. But the mylot admins has already inform that sometimes earnings update may vary, sometimes it will come early sometimes late and need not to worry because sooner they will have it updated.
30 minutes after the earning updates supposedly show, I have my earnings updated.
