Visiting Vigan City

I've been in Vigan many times. Last time was this month but this time was the most exciting. I was with my friends and that was the only time I had the chance to visit some tourist spots. We went to different places using kalesa. First we went to the famous Bell Tower - still standing after many years since the Spanish Times. This Bell Tower saved the populace many times over the course of time - alarming the people of pirates, raids, invasions, air bombings and many more. I really enjoyed in Balwarte as well - by Governor Luis Chavit Singson. Many exotic animals were there. We really enjoyed our time in Vigan. How about your experience in Vigan?

I loved vigan city. The first time I visited the city was when I graduated from my college. As I toured on the city, I feel like I had been warp in the past. Walking in the mids of old Spanish colonial houses, landmarks that witnesses historical events, and museums contains with historical artifacts. Then I also stroll the Balwarte where Gov. Chavit Singson opened to the public where they exhibits different kinds of animals and to the Vigan Botanical Garden. Then I get hungry and tried the local delicacies such as Empanada, Bagnet, Longanisa, and Sinanglaw. Vigan will surely one of my favorite destination in the north.

Yeah the atmosphere there is quite different as the palce looks pretty much the spanish era. I've been there only once and I was able to visit the old houses and the one that was made into museum. It is from there that I saw authentic antique items that really amazed me how old they are and they are very well preserved.
