I watched this movie yesterday called Bucket List starring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman. It talks about 2 men given a few months to live and how they made use of these few months to find joy and meaning in their lives. The ending is beautiful, it's a tear jerker, and yes, I cried.. According to Carter, Morgan Freeman's character, a survey was conducted to people asking if they want to know the exact date of their death, 96% said they did not want to.. Would you want to know?

I wouldn't want to know. I think it would put a timer on your life. I would always be thinking about how many days i have left on Earth and worrying about how i will die.

yah. but the really good thing about knowing is being able to prepare your family emotionally and financially. Also you would be able to say goodbye...

Part yes, part no... If I knew I was going to die on a certain day. I could make sure to have fun and do anything I wanted, but on the other hand I'd be horrified to give up my surprise at dying.
