when you post a new discussion or respond to some are you at loss of words sometimes? Or you can very well express what you actually think. I have seen many times i can think very well but while writing I feel at loss of words sometimes. It is just at that moment that those words are not coming at my finger tips. what about you?

Sometimes? I would say it is most of the time, especially when starting discussions. That's why I seldom start discussions. I am too particular in how I post my discussion. As for responding to discussions, I am at times at loss of words and then you know what happen next... I will be missing in action :P

If vocabulory is limited, then there will be a problem to coin a sentence or two. I did not come across such a situation. I always have something or the other to put at mylot. I am concentratign only on responses and hence I definitely do not find scracity of resources.

Subha, it happens to me intermittently. During those times I literally grope for the right words and sometimes I am totally blank! And some other times the words come to me just like that. I think, this happens more or less to all of us, specially when we are engrossed in some other thoughts or we have to catch up with other things in life and ofcourse when we are low. *cheers*

Yes, I think so. After all, English is my mother language. So sometimes I can not use a proper word to express what I want to say. Besides, sometimes I don't know some words and I have to look up the dictionary. And I am not sure whether the word is suitable.

that happens to me, too... sometimes, i have already have the response in my head, but as soon as i start typing... the words like... fade away... or, my hands just froze and i have to think very hard, and try to remember the words that had 'escaped' my mind.... hate it when that happens. i normally try to respond to something else, first.. and get back to the 'forgotten' response later.. but sometimes... the words dont come back - i end up just not responding...

that happens to me once in a while subha. i would respond to a discussion and i would not completely express what i exactly mean. or when i'm creating a discussion, i would forget a word and it would take a while before i remember it. ^__^;; i would either cancel what i was doing, or take a break and wait till i remember the word. ^__^

I've had this happen to me from time to time, and my first language is English! :P LOL As a matter of fact I have a discussion I want to start, but am a little stumped as I can't seem to find the words I want to use. It's just not coming together the way I want, so I guess I just won't post it...for now. It doesn't help either when I'm trying to type and I get distracted by my kids, husband, or something else. This is when I have the hardest time finding the words I want to use. :P

At most times, yes. I can't really put my thoughts into words and sometimes I just type things, that's why I have typos often LOL

I know! In fact I usually go through three or four discussions before I find one that I can reply to. Sometimes I have something to say, but other people have already beaten me to it. Sometimes I plain out don't know what to think about their post. And sometimes, I'm afraid my opinion might be controversial, so I spend a lot of time trying to reword it. (Which usually, I can't get right and end up deleting the whole response.)

I'm never at a loss for words. I always know exactly what I want to say but sometimes saying it the way I want to will get my account terminated so then I have to search for a nicer way to say it.

I am the same way. There are times I can think very well about what I want to say in my responses and then at other times I am lost myself. So it's not just you friend.

Yes and sometimes when I want to respond to my friend's discussion I can't think of anything to write! I would love to answer all of them but really sometimes they don't pertain!

When I have a lot going on in my daily life, or if I have had a bad day I find it harder to respond to posts. I will read the discussions and have something to contribute but as soon as I hit that "respond" button it is as if everything has been sucked from my brain. I sit at the computer and stare at that empty box. When I get this way I just get off the computer. Or, I will go through the discussions and bookmark the ones that really interest me so I can come back later and respond to them.

Writing things while you type is like, going to get something in the other room and as soon as you get right where you need to be and pooF! what you were looking for has slipped your mind! Also when you're trying to name that person, song, or a fact you had to tell someone and when you see them, you forget! I don't believe anyone can say that these things have never happened to them!
