NO!! to the clowns...

Never had much exposure to them. In my experience, kids are scared of adults who show an unusual degree of interest in them. This probably includes most clowns who really, really, want the child to laugh.

I was never afraid of clowns and as far as I can tell neither are either of my kids. I used to babysit for a boy when I was younger who was VERY afraid of clowns. He would point outside towards his yard and cry and tell me that there was a clown in the yard and that it was going to come in the house and eat him. I am thinking that was also around the time Stephen King's IT came out. The kids dumb mother probably let him watch it. He was 3 by the way.

Nope, never afraid of clowns and neither was my son, of course he was 2 years old when he got hooked on jaws...he was not scared...he just said 'bad fish'

I wasn't scared of clowns when i was a child, and my son hasn't been scared of them yet. I know alot of children are scared of clowns, but i think some of that is because the clown isn't as entertaining or look like the child was expecting them to be. Most children don't have clowns at parties anymore, but i wouldn't be bothered if someone did and our son didn't like them....... because its the childs choice what they have for their party. ~Joeys wife

I don't like Clowns, I think they are very creepy. And if I woke up in the middle of the night and I'd see a clown face in front of me.. I'd probably instantly die of a heart attack.

maybe it's different here in the philippines because I've noticed in my neighborhood whenever there are children's parties. Parents will not hire clowns and I remembered that the child celebrant was crying when her dad dressed up as a clown on her bday...she was scared..

I agree to that. Even I disliked clowns when I was young. I was scared when I watched Stephen King's horror movie "It".. the clown looked really scary and until now and im still scared ....
