I would never change my name. I didn't even change it when I got married, like most people do. I consider it a part of my identity, and I've worked very hard to become proud of my name, and thus would never give it up. I have been teased for my name a lot, but it doesn't matter to me anymore. I've learned that no matter what your name is, if people want to tease you, they'll find a way to twist it into something bad. I've known people with completely normal and common names who got teased for them, so it really seems to me like something no one escapes.

I'd like a name like Celeste. My name is boring and common place. No one has teased me about my name, my parents picked the name Susan so I wouldn't be. Which is good, but I got picked on for other things anyway so not sure that it mattered.

I like my name so I will never change it. My sons who got the surname of my husband were sometimes teased at the school before and they come home crying and told me they want to change the surname or family name. I just told them not to be bothered by their classmates teasing and that they should be proud of their surname because it is unique.

My Pop's name was Jack, and they named me Jill, so I have been teased about the old nursery rhyme for my whole life. I'm so happy that I can have different avatars on my pages now, and be someone else whenever I want!

It started as a tribute to Depeche Mode... most people here know that I'm obsessed with them! But it also speaks to luxury... its the ice cream on the pie... its making 'special' even more special! Its the way my life changed when I finally got my computer and came online last May. Its SO many things, that I had to use it! In our Red Hat group, which is more about being 'Brats' than wearing hats, my name is... Juicy Green Jelobean... Jointed Chief of Crafts... Toad ala Mode! One of my avatars is a frog, one of my nicknames is Juice, etc, etc... We are a group dedicated to the memory of our Pop, who called us all his 'Brats'. Its SO much fun!
