I love lobster! - a lobster

I love lobster although I seldom get to have it because it's so expensive even here on the East Coast. I have found a chinese restaurant nearby who has a special every day where you can get to boiled lobsters for $20 and THAT is quite a deal. I know so many people who don't like lobster but then they don't like any kind of seafood at all so I can see why. I especially like to dip it in butter and it's like heaven for me the few times I can afford it. There was a time when my favorite chinese dish was lobster sauce with lobster actually in it but it's become so expensive that they don't even put it in any more. My kids have asked me why they still call it lobster sauce and I told them they just let the lobster run through the water...lol.... How do you feel about lobster? Is it expensive where you live? Do you like or dislike seafood in general?

You may think i'm odd after i tell you this story. :) I lived on the east coast of canada almost al my life, I moved to central canada about 4 years ago. A lot of my moms side of my family are acutually fisherman, and lobster fishermen at that! But Up untill i moved to ontario, i had never tried lobster!! I flew back home for one xmas and my MIL and FIL had steak and lobster and all kinds of other YUMMY novascotian east coast foods prepared for us! I enjoy eating haddock, and i enjoy scallops and canned tuna but.. does that count ? I haven't liked any of the other fish that i've tried. Oh and shrimp is ok in SMALL amounts ;) I'll only eat the lobster tail and claws! Are you one of those who eats that green poopy stuff inside the lobster ? that is FOUL!

HEhe i gave it away the few times that i've had the lobster whole too. I pass it on to the next person. HERE YOU GO! I think that its the poop. But they say its not poop, but its where the stomache should be, and its down to the where the bum should be.. so in my head, That's tHE POOP! i mean they can't starve them in that tank or they would cost less then what the store bought them for right ?? So they gotta feed em something. WHAT DO THEY FEED THEM THAT SOME PEOPLE EAT? Can i be the one to start that discussion or would you like to ? i dont mind if you want to since it stemmed from yours anyays ;)

Seafood is expensive here and not in my budget. I have never really had a taste for lobster but oh how I love shrimp. Fixed anyway, boiled, fried, dipped, breaded I can't think of a way to fix shrimp I don't love. Favorite part of the movie Forrest Gump is where his army friend is listing all the different ways to fix shrimp :)

At one time, when the movie first came out on video it was marked down in history - it was the first full length movie my oldest son ever sat all the way through - yes, he was/is ADHD and sitting still is not one of his finer features... For that reason alone I love the movie but also at the same time my youngest was very little and in a way grew up watching the movie with his older brother - at 3 he was resiting lines to the movie including the shrimp list.

Wow, it’s giving me a kind of twisted pleasure to know that there are others like me who love their lobsters but cant eat enough coz of the price-factor. But very true, these crustaceans are so darn expensive, having them for lunch one Sunday for the whole family, would practically knock the meat out of the platter for the rest of the month. Or if I am saving enough to have good-sized ones for one weekend, the saving must start at least from the previous month. Ummmm…I have started salivating. I think I will have it in the first week of feb itself, right after I get my pay lol. We’ll have it steamed with mustard and coconut paste, true Bengali style. Regarding sea-food, basically we are fish-eaters and our preference for sea-food is limited to fish only (and prawns and shrimps of course!). I like crabs too…but that’s not a regular part of our diet.

Mmmmmm ctry, it's morning right now but I could eat seafood any time of the day, unfortunately, I can't afford to do that, haha. I simply LOVE sea food, just about any kind, and Lobster is perfectly delicious, although I've never had the heart to go in a restaurant and pick one out.....couldn't do that to the little guy, haha. But, if it comes in a meal, I'll certainly eat it, yummy! I have bought the frozen Lobster Tails at the store which are cheaper. I also love oysters, just breaded or smoked. Oh, I'm so hungry now and can just taste all this. I wish I could own a Seafood Restaurant, then I'd be happy all the way around, lol!, make money and eat to my heart's content...mmmmmm, mmmmmm, good!

I love lobster! I swear I need to learn to catch them myself. They are so expensive. A good lobster is around 20 dollars if you cook it yourself. When I get my income tax money, I swear I'm going to buy some lobster.

I am a seafood lover and I do enjoy eating various kinds of seafood. Since the lobster is quite expensive, so I have never eaten it before. I think one day I will travel to a seashore, and I shall eat the lobster there as it will be less expensive.

I have only had lobster once I think. It was okay I think. I don't remember hating it. It is fairly expensive, so I am always afraid to order it in case I don't really care for it. It has been a long time since I tried it. I love crawfish though! They have to be cooked right though, not like those nasty ones in chinese buffets. I like fried and breaded shimp and shrimp scampi. I will eat some Alaskan King Crab legs every once in awhile with my dad, because he gets the meat out for me.

it's true that seafoods here are expensive ,especially in those restaurants where lobster is the specialty.but fortunately, we live close to the eastern coast of China,so we have easier access to those seafoods.i like them very much.not only because they're delious ,but also they're good to our eyes.

I love lobster but I also seldom have it because it's very expensive. My favourite way is to dip the fresh lobster in mustard sauce, so good taste! I still like other seafood such as crab, shrimp, oyster and fish, etc. I think having seafood is of benefit to our health, and the most important it 's easier for us to keep figure no matter how much we take.

I love Lobster, we have a place, actually a grocery store about 45-50 minutes away, called Stew Leonards, and during the summer, for about $14-14 you can get a lobster, corn on the cob, fries and a beverage. It is eaten outside at what they call a beach party ..under a pole barn like structure, but it is fun. The grocery store itself is full of animatronics, they give out great free samples and they have great specialties that you can buy inside to eat at home. They also have a farm like petting zoo.

Believe it or not I have never had lobster. I have eaten at Red Lobster many times. And I do eat shrimp. But there is something about it that bothers me. I can't see them swimming in the tank. And then have one placed in front of me. I'd be wondering which lobster that I had been looking at a few minutes before, was my meal. Can't do that.

I, too, love lobster. It is really expensive here where I live too. I only get to eat lobster about 3 times a year because I can't afford to eat it more often, either. I would though, if I could. To get a good lobster dinner here, in a restaurant, it costs about $50.00 and when there is my husband and I that comes to $100.00. I love lobster, but I don't think it is worth the money. So about 3 times a year we will buy them and cook them ourselves. Then it only costs about $50 for both of us, and that's pretty expensive too so that's why we don't buy them too often. I live to dip my lobster in melted butter with garlic in it. Just writing this response makes my mouth water.
