Will you leave your lover when he/she has a serious ill ?

Many lover cannot be consitant to it , the partner , most of them , will leave the illed one alone , then the another leave or find another guy or girl ! I can understand this kind of persons' choice , but i cannot do that , i think , when somebody is ill , who is needed other's help and comfort more than other , when the partner leave , which mostly is equal to kill the ill one . i believe love , so i won't " kill" my lover , i won't leave him alone , i am sure that i would love to overcome that ill with my lover ,and we should lover forever
