Suspicious of an evil neighbor

OK here's the story; last year my next door neighbors got a beagle puppy. It was soooo sooo cute, but came untrained. He barked a lot, and howled when he wanted to go inside the house. My family was aquianted other neighbor, that lived next door to the beagle puppy neighbors, and knew she was not fond of dogs. Whenever she came over to talk to my mom, she made it really obvious and blunt that she hated dogs, and their barking. A few months later, we stopped seeing the beagle around, and asked our neighbors what happened. They said that he died, most likely from a poisoning. The instant I heard this, my prime suspect was the dog hater. Of course I have no evidence or anything, so I haven't talked about it with anyone. But the other day, I found a mysterious dog bone in our yard [which is fenced), right by the sidewalk. My dog went, and tried to chew on it, but I immidiately put him inside and kept him away from it, because I suspected something fishy. I told my family about it, while I was still outside, and projected my voice when I said "... BECAUSE WHO OR WHATEVER POISONED THE BEAGLE PUPPY COULD BE TRYING TO POISON OUR DOG..." and mysteriously the next day the bone was gone, and we have not seen that dog hatin neighbor since... :0

Sounds to me like you have a real sicko in the neighborhood. I'd alert any other neighbors who have dogs and if anyone finds a bone like that I'd turn it over to the police with a report of your suspicions. It takes a real sick person to poison an animal and who's to say she won't take to hating kids. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

It might have been your neighbor that poisoned that dog but it just might have also been something else that the dog got into, but it seems fishy though that your neighbor ended up disappearing after she heard you talking about it though.

Oh that is horrible. One of our dogs was poisoned by a neighbor when i was growing up. He was a good dog. the neighbor was just vindictive cause we caught his dog running our cows and causing serious damage to them. and we confronted him with hi bloody dog and he still denied it. People who poison someones beloved pet are horribe. Watch your dog and yard carefully.

so they left because you said that? I'm glad they left if they have no conscious they will try to harm you or your dog. that's what I was afraid of, but now they're gone good for you and your dog

megumiart really you should have reported this dog hating neighbor to the police and given them that dogbone as it might have been the way the other dog was poisioned.but if the neighbor moved out that is good riddance. what a terrible' woman to kill dogs.

You should have picked up the bone and brought it to your vet for testing. As far as the neighbor her deeds will reflect on her and she will have to answer for them. I would very closely watch your dog while it is outside to ensure its safety. I also had hateful neighbors where I used to live and they actually murdered several of my pets, the breaking point for my parents and the action that made my mom decide to move away from them was when they tried to shoot my dad hunting dog. My thought are with you while you try and protect your pets from a terrible neighbor. Blessings.

CALL THE POLICE. If a rando bone turns up in your yard of course that's not normal. You should have put the bone in her letterbox. It really annoys me when this happens because poisoning is a really slow, painful and horrible way to die and the owners rarely do anything about it. This woman should be in jail. I would confront her and tell her firmly but politely that you are aware of what happened and of the fact that you know she hates dogs so if anything happens to any more dogs around here she will be the prime suspect. Please keep your dog safe inside and don't take any risks. This woman is barbaric. What kind of lady would poison a dog for her own benefit? Not a lady in my eyes that's for sure.

That is so aweful and scary! I would be terribly worried about my dog at that point. Just be careful when you take your dog out that he doesn't eat or drink anything while outside. And hopefully you don't have any problems in the future.
