Are there just too many people on the earth? And if there are (or when there are going to be) what do we do to control how many people are able to live in harmony on this planet?

It is out of control already. Look at all fights. For what? Oil, money, freedom...just to name a few. We will probably build colonies in space....:)

Is that because of overpopulation? We have always had fighting and wars going back to the beginning of time... is it going to be worse as more people populate the planet?

I consider that a verygood discussion. It beats me every time the thought of what is going to happen in the future when people are going to spill out from this planet. What is the idea of populating this planet and increasing it at this rate.God must have some plans.

Agreed... I think there is a LOT more this planet can handle and when there is no more room the opportunity will present itself for an answer. When there is no way out God always opens a door.

The population varies considerably between different countries compared to their different sizes. Australia is a huge country but the middle part of it is mostly outback or desert. Therefore the majority of the people live around the coastline or in one of the cities like Sydney for example. It has a population of less than 20 million. New Zealand and the UK are a similar size but one has a population of less than 4 million and one has a population of more than 55 million. So the UK has too high a population. China has a huge population and for that reason the government put the one child policy in place. I think that is a heavy handed policy and it is challenging to enforce this. I think education can help people choose birth control and education can try to make people tolerant of other people. Respect for other religions is an important thing to make people. But in places like Israel this is easer said than done.

Add Canada to that. They are the 2nd largest country in landmass and yet (like Australia) most of the people are concentrated in a few areas (mostly near the US). China is the same way as well. They have plenty of land mass though much of their population is concentrated. Even in places like the United States... there can be more than 300 million people in all the area it has.

No there is not too many people on earth! There is never too many! The world should work on being more harmonious instead of decreasing population. Add me as a friend! Please give me best response! Email Me: onlinemoneyadventure@yahoo.com
