Have you ever flied in your dreams? How were you flying? It's important to see if you were flying in mid-air, near the ground or above the clouds: it tells a lot about your personality

My flying dreams used to start as falling dreams, but before I hit the ground I would level off and fly parallel to the ground. Then they became predictable and I'd tell myself as I dreamt that I was dreaming and I could fly wherever I wanted. Usually my dreamflights are a dozen or so feet off the ground, although when I get above tree level I still maintain the same distance from the top of the trees. More rare are the ones when I'm in the clouds, and the rarest are when I'm flying in outer space or under water (I'm not swimming, but flying, under water).

I wish I could fly at will in my dreams too. Even if I make lucid dreams about flying, I can fly only near the ground. From this dream I think you are a very free person. Is that true?

I never really thought about it, but I guess I am pretty much a free person. It's really hard to put me into any one category because my mind is a fluid thing, and I will change it to suit my needs. Often, I feel I am more in tune with nature than with people and I see beauty where others can not.

Hi Rowena, I had this kind of thinking when I was a little girl. I could fly to everywhere I wished. You know our parents always didn’t allow us to go to many places which were indeed interesting and attractive when we were kids. So one night I found I was flying in the air inside a circus where there were full of audience. The amazing and lovely little girl dancing elegantly in the air won the thundering applause from the audience. I became the limelight standing in the circle and gained plenty of bouquets of flowers and also many gifts from the fans. But this wonderful dream of flying came to me once only.

Of course. It is amazing how many people dream of flying and then how many people once they get in the air (on a plane) fear flying so much... maybe it is a thing of control?

I had this dream three-four times in (more or less) the same period of my life, I was about 10 years old and those were crucial days for myself...It was a dream which had something relaxing, but a bit of anguish too...If I remember it was related to the fact I was consciuos that flight would soon be over, and I didn't want to...So I flew almost crying, resembling in some way a Chagall's-style subject...This dream was probably related to the sadness of leaving a happy time of my life,childhood..Anyway, I've always thought our mind lies in a prison,in our body..."If happy little bluebirds fly..beyond the rainbow why..oh why can't I....! :-)

Yes I used to have flying dreams a lot when I was younger. I haven't had a flying dream in years it seems. I liked having those dreams. I loved that I could just take off any time and fly. It was a good feeling.

I flied in my dreams in mid-air when I was a child. It was nice and seemed as true.
