One 'luxery' item that you can't/won't give up?

We all know that our paychecks are not going as far as they used to and that we have to 'tighten the belt' more and more. Most of us have one item that although a little expensive, we can't/won't give up. I actually have two. One is 'skinny cow' ice cream sandwiches that aresugar and fat free. These take care of my sweet tooth and help me maintain my diet. The second thing is my Bath and Body works cream. I have dried numerous brands and that one takes care of my dry skin better than any! What is your luxery item?

I will not give up my computer - I will never give up my internet.
I will not give up my perfume. That is the one thing that I do for myself. I love my perfume. I do not wear the cheap stuff. I am allergic to it. I would hate to give up my computer too. Oh That is a necessity. so I dont need to worry about it right???

Village, your computer would have to be a necessity with all the wonderful moneysaving and useful things you find with it! I most certainly wouldn't call it a luxery!

I have to admit that there are a few things in my life that are truly luxury/non essential items...and although I would hate to give them up, I would adjust and get by just fine..for many years I had NO luxury items in my life...so now I have to identify which ones/one I would miss the most!!! I believe it would really have to be getting a professional manicure/pedicure monthly...this is something I totally do for myself and it is "fluff" for sure...but it does keep my hands and feet in good shape and I don't have to try to do it myself!! I used to do it all myself but after my husband's liver transplant he was so sensitive to smell that I couldn't polish my nails even with clear topcoat...he could smell it for hours...so I began going out to have them done..and then by the time I would get home he wouldn't have the bad effect from it!! I gave it up for the first 8 months after transplant ...but really missed it and decided to have them done. In my job I fill people's prescriptions all day long and like my hands to look well manicured...I also wash them so many times per day that they get hang nails and dried out..so the manicure helps with that...whew...okay... a long winded answer...manicure and pedicure!!!!

I would love to get a pedicure and manicure at a salon, but I know that I would be instantly addicted so I have actively avoided it! I have to wash my hands hundreds of times per day too.

ohhhhhhhhhhh that HAS to be my coffee. I will not give up my coffee and will not switch to generic. It's got to be Folgers Columbian or Maxwell House MasterBlend Smooth.

It's not what you would call a luxury item but I won't stop buying my stamping and scrapping supplies.....I can stop eating out....stop buying unnecessary things at the convience store and I can stop many other things..but I won't stop buying my craft stuff! LOL

Well, just rationalize them as non-luxery, they go into the category of mental health as they likely help a great deal with stress management!!!

I can give up Starbucks. I like the Bath & Body Works hand cream and shower gels but I usually get those or gift certificates for gifts, so no out of pocket expense.

Nurse like you I have 2, One is my anti-aging face cream and ye cream. I was in my late 30's when I started really seeing the differences in my skin. Arrgggg and those kind of creams are so expensive. But nope I would give up meals before I would my cream. The other thing we have actually had to cut back on some since I quit nursing and that is, all you can eat crab leg buffets to once a month or better, and a nice lobster dinner to maybe 1 time a year. Dang I love seafood.

Well your luxury items are pretty reasonable. I would say my luxury item is my DVR. I'd really hate to not have it. Sad, huh?

One luxury item I won't give up is having Internet service. Since the computer is done and paid for the only thing that needs to be paid month after month is Internet service. I've had Internet access for a few years now and I'm used to having it, even if it isn't really needed. I don't know what I'd do without it! :P

LOL! Well I've lived without it before and I could do it again (though I wouldn't want too LOL). It may be a necessity for some, but for me it is a luxury. Now if I had a job that required me to be on the Internet, that would be a different story! ;)

What is the name of your body works cream as they have many? I also enjoy some of body works products. What would I not want to give up? Let see,, French Fries..not McDonalds but my own homemade ones; but they are cheap so I guess I wouldnt' have to. Oh let's see...I dont' buy a lot of junk food on a regular bases but I guess it would have to be lays potatoe chips. I normally only buy them at christmas and the odd video night but they are my favorite chip. I guess a good dark chocolate block from the chocolate factory. It is my new thing that I started doing about a year ago. Instead of buying cheap chocolate that makes me feel sick I treat myself to a good dark chocolate block once in a while and it last for quite a long time. I would give it up though for sure. LOL so that doesn't count as this is about what I won't give up. LOL Food in general in what I won't give up as I just wrote about that. I have been over weight my entire life so obiviously food is my answer. I can't say I love anything to much to not want to give it up but yet I love everything and I am having a hard time limiting myself. Right now I am in a faze where I am afraid of food and afraid to eat. I just can't gain anymore weight. Now isn't that weird? When I think of your question I think it is weird because I realize I don't love any food that much that I wouldn't give it up if my pay check depended on it, yet here I am and I can't even limit it. What the heck is wrong with me?

Wow@ I really hate to admit it, but my luxury item is Fiji Bottled water. It't the only water I really like to drink and its one of the most expensive ones! I think I'll try diluting it with regular water and maybe I won't taste the difference!

Defiantly my xbox 360 and Showtime. I do need to lower my Dish bill but I can't imagine not being about to see The L Word and Dexter! As for the Xbox..ah well every now and then I like to take out my frustration on a good video game.

Mine is 3 ply loo paper. How sad is that? It's my one luxury. The sad part is that the one I used always to buy is now gone and there is a 4 ply in it's place that is horrible. It is thinner (How that can be is beyond me) it shreds and it is very weak and not terribly soft. That's so disappointing so now I have to start all over again; and (excuse the pun) it will be a process of elimination to find the nicest loo paper again. Cottonelle is looking/feeling good so far. I stay totally away from Sorbent...it's too hard.
