do you make your own ringing tone?

i am with you aconite, me too i make my own ringing tone, most the songs that i want to be my ringing tone is old or not famous so if i want to buy it i would not find it, so i got used to make my own ringing tone by my self, its very easy and i choose the part of the song that i want to be my ringing tone without facing any problems.

my ringtone is mariah carey's song "touch my body" I always buy my ringtones on my phone, its easier that way. What i usually do is set a ring tone for every group like for example when my mom or my sister or brother calls me i set "family affair" by mary blige ringtone and when my boyfriend calls me "promise" by jagged head will play on my phone.

yea.. surely it is a waste of money that is spent to buy the ringtones.

I always record my own, normally my kids or something. I've never bought one, it just seems like such a waste of money to me! Sometimes I'm too lazy to record one though, then I just choose an unusual one from the pre-recorded ones. Some of them are really annoying, but at least you can tell when it's your phone ringing!
