My hubby sleeps like a log when he sleeps! It's SO hard to wake him up! I dont know if he's awake or asleep half the time cause he talks in his sleep. It's pretty invigourating when i am the one supposed to wake him up for work and he just lays there and says uh huh. uh huh! and doesn't get up!!!!!!!!! Anyone else suffering from irritable alarm clock syndrom ??

When it was time to get up for school, my youngest was up before anyone else but the elder daughter was a mess. We would stand her up in the corner and hand her articles of clothing and keep proding her to put them on. It was hillarious. We had to make sure she did not put the wrong thing on the wrong part of her body because she was literally still asleep.. We would put her packpack on her and walk her to the bus stop with breakfast in hand. By the time we had walked that far, she was awake enough to eat. She always had a toothbrush and toothpaste in her backpack. The kids at school thought she was just really fastidious, we never finked on her. I always wondered how she did when she went off to college. I am sure that she took afternoon classes as much as possible.lol Shalom~Adoniah

Poor girl? Poor us! We brushed her hair, found her books, got her dressed, fixed her breakfast, got her to the bus on time. This was through Junior High mind you. I think is was a plot. That way her little sister has to do all the morning stuff and she didn't have to do anything. I had already been out to my job sites and back before they were up so my day started at an unbelievable hour.

My hubby is a VERY heavy sleeper. It is so hard to wake him up. I change depending how much sleep I get. If I am very tired it is harder to wake me up, but if I've been getting enough sleep, I am a light sleeper.

I'm always easy to wake up, just not always easy to deal with after being not properly slept.

I am a very heavy sleeper. I can sleep through storms and have many times. Although, if one of my children step into the room, I am wide awake sitting up in my bed by the time they come around to my side of the bed. I guess its maternal instinct that wakes me up because when they come into my room in the middle of the night usually they don't feel good.

Forgot to add my hubby is a heavy sleeper. And snores like crazy, guess thats why I'm a heavy sleeper, so I can ignore his noises all night!

I'd have to say I'm a heavy sleeper. I could probably sleep through almost anything. I do think I've gotten better though, because before, I'd wake up when my alarm went off and turn it off. Then, I'd fall back asleep and when I eventually woke up, I wouldn't remember turning it off. I think I'm only a light sleeper if I'm tense or disturbed about stuff when I go to sleep. In those cases, I tend to wake up about every two hours.

I'm actally the sound sleeper and I talk in my sleep. My kids talk in there sleep as well, My husband snores and is a loud breather when he sleeps. So usually I have a hard time getting to sleep because he always goes to sleep before me. Very irrating. But he says I talk in my sleep and wake him up some nights!!!

hah my daughter and hubby talk in their sleep, not everynight, but once in a while. I dont sleep with my hubby cause he works nights, so if i'm home i can sometimes get conversations out of him while he's sleeping on the couch. lol.

i do...for me it is very hard to get a sleep and also very hard to get up in the morning,it nay be because i am a workaholic, when i start working i dont stop until im done with what im doing and with that i use up a lot of my energy.that may be the reason why i am quite a heavy sleeper...

Some nights if i'm worried about something, i have a hard time getting to sleep. And other nights i'm just exhausted enough that i dunno if me or my daughter passes out first. lol.

I sleep just right, almost 8 hours maybe. But I sleep at night so late so I wake up so late too. Unlike my parents, they sleep early and wake up at the dawn. When I go out from my room they would joke on me “it’s lunch time” hehehe.. I really have sleeping/waking hours like that ever since. I don’t know of my friends though.

OMG!! matt does this. You go to wake him up and he goes ok and then 5 min later he still aint up! Specially when he is drunk and pasted out. I left him in the car one night cuz he wasnt getting up. And i was getting so mad I just left him thier and what did i get? i got yelled at for leaving him in the car. *rolls eyes* I hate ppl that dont wake up when you tell them to wake up or they ask you to wake them up and they dont.

I am a very light sleeper and the problem is, once I get woke up I get anxiety. Then I have a really hard time going back to sleep. Once I do fall asleep again it is restless. My husband could sleep through a train coming through the room. Our baby daughter climbs on top of him, kicks him, yells right next to him and he just keeps on sleeping away. If my husband doesn't get up and I can't fall asleep until he gets up; I kick him until he does. That usually works.

For me normally I am a somewhat light sleeper. but according to my boyfriend this weekend I was a heavy sleeper. He said he tried saying my name, shaking me,tickling my leg, kissing my neck, grabbing me in a hug, groping my butt and I still didn't wake up, lol He got me up finally after like 10 minutes he says. I think I am a heavy sleeper when I stay at his house because we stay up so late. He can be a heavy sleeper too but I know how to get him up normally.

I am a light sleeper which comes in handy with the kids. My husband on the other hand is a heavy sleeper. It is so hard to wake him. It takes almost a half hour sometimes to get him up. He also talks in his sleep so I never know if he's awake or not. I know how you feel.

I was a light sleeper before the kids started to come, but even more-so now that i've had kids.. well i ahve one and one on the way ;0) one wakes me up all night from tossing and turning, and the other one sits on my bladder and makes me have to get up every hour! lol. FUN TIMES!

I am such a heavy sleeper! It takes a lot to wake me up. The only time that I'm not is when I am home alone with my kids and my husband is out of town. I must have some mommy instinct that wakes me at every sound.

I feel your sentiments, Sissygrl. I'm often asked by our dad during the weekends to wake my sisters up in time for lunch or dinner. It is the weekends, after all, so they get to sleep the whole day for that. And it just becomes so taxing trying to wake them all up while the only response they give you is a nod. And if, by some miracle, they do wake up, they'd be throwing tantrums all over! Geesh. But I love my sisters, so I do it anyways. This actually reminds me of a saying here in the Philippines which translates to something like this, 'mess all you want with a drunk man, just don't mess with someone who just woke up.' Haha. Good luck with your hubby! :P

I'm a very light sleeper, even with medication but I had to train myself to be that way from a very young age so its understandable...My husband CAN BE a heavy sleeper but mainly I think he's an average sleeper really...Alot of it with him depends on what his mood is like when he hits the pillow and his stress level..

I am happy to say that I am a light sleeper and I do not have to have an alarm clock to get woke up by I set my mind at night to get up a certain time and I do I guess I am lucky that why

I am the alarm clock in my house most days. My hubby and daughter both sleep heavily. I am a little jealous of that. I am a light sleeper. However, I am apparently the one who talks in my sleep. That is according to my hubby.I hate it when I wake him, and he says ok I am awake and 10 minutes later he is still in bed. But I have made the effort and that's what counts.

I depends on hoe tired I am and what or who is trying to wake me up. I am a firefighter, and on a night after a big exhausting call I can't be woken by anything, unless it is my pager beeping. If that thing goes off I'm up instantly. Most normal nights I sleep fairly light. Any abnoraml sound will wake me up. Just depends on how tired I am, I can sleep like a log, or I can sleep on edge.

I used to be a heavy sleeper and nothing could wake me up!We had a small earthquake a couple of years ago and it woke everyone up in the house apart from me!Now,maybe due to change of job/circumstances I'm a very light sleeper. In the morning if someone is making a cup of tea downstairs it wakes me up!!
