How do you wash your sweaters, ladies?

When you wash a sweater do you wash it in the washing machine and throw it into the dryer for drying. I used to wash all my sweaters by hand and roll them in towels to dry them. What a pain that was. I hated washing them this way so I just quit doing it. I now throw them in the washing machine on delicate and throw them in the dryer. If they shrink, then oh well, I discard them. I now don't have any sweaters left that shrink when washed this way. Have I gotten lazy? Do you still wash yours by hand and lay them out to dry?

I don't wear sweaters very often, but I have a few that I wash in the washing machine but I do not put in the dryer. I do not want them to shrink or the fabric pill up. I don't think I have ever hand washed a sweater. I guess I am lazy too then.

Oh no way!LOL I throw my sweaters in the washing machine too. I only put them in the dryer for a short amount of time. Then let them dry on a towel or hanger. I couldnt be bothered with washing them out by hand. Thats what the delicate cycle is for!LOL

I usually wash clothes also sweaters in the washing machine and spin dry. When our washing machine broke and was not functioning, that's the time I did the hand washing, but it took me more hours to finish and my back and hands ache so much. It is so tiring to handwash clothes, sweaters / jackets. You are not lazy chrislotz. So many are using the washing machine now. You can just select the delicate mode if you dont want to ruin your delicate clothes.
