when i was a student i used to save a lot. there was a need for me to save money. i felt the need because i didn't want to be always asking my mother for money. and it was good to have my own money because i can buy what i wanted to buy without any objections from my mother nor even sermons from her since it wasn't her money i'm spending but mine. ^__^;; and it was helpful because in times of emergencies that my mother is not there to give me money or if she don't have any money, i can use my savings. ^__^ you don't necessarily have to have a job and income in order to save. your parents give you allowance to go to school and money for everything. you don't have to spend it all. you should be wise on spending your money. saving money doesn't only enable you to have extra money, it also teach you to be wise financially and in the future, you will be able to use that when you are earning your own money. when you will have a job of your own you'll know how hard it is to earn money and you'll probably be saving more. ^__^

obviously the most important thing that you should be doing with your college years is learning hard and getting your degree. but the second most important thing should be putting asides savings if you have any access to income at any point, because it is always good to have that set aside later on in life.

You should start to save money. Even having a bank or credit union account, and putting about $5 away at a time is a good way to start. The sooner you start to save, the better for you. Besides some people are not lucky enough to have the same job all their life or are able to go from one career to another in a matter of days. Ir is best to get into the habit while you are young and have something to protect you against any unforeseen circumstances.

I think everyone must know how to save money. If you are a student who study away from home, it is much needed. If you can, why not save, it doesn't follow that only people who have job can save money, you can also do it if you want and it is good. Just take it as a challenge. It would be a great opportunity for you learn saving money, coz in the future you would be dealing it when you have already your own family or you are living on your own.

hello..hmm saving money huh? well i think its a good thing that you come to realize that..i think you should because 1 you never know when you'll need it in terms of emergency 2 it'll help you a lot when you finish school later 3 it'll help to create a good habit and not waste so much 4 instead of just saving, try to find out a way that you can save and at the same time grow that money thinking of lots of the advantage you might gain.. what's a little hard can stop you right?

It will be hard for you to try to save money if you do not have a job and no other source of income. I do however think that it is important to have a little bit of money set aside for an emergency. It may be difficult but I think you should start saving at least a little bit now while you are in school. You never know when you will need the money.

Everyone should save money, whether you're a student or not. It should be a habit you have the rest of your life.

that is the 2nd best thing you can do now. first is to study hard and second is to save up. a friend of mine used to save up when he was younger. his family was very wealthy and he enjoys a big allowance. but my friend was never the type who splurges and go spending-spree. he saved the money he got. then one day his dad came with a bad news that their business was finally closing. his parents told him that they might not be able to afford to send him to college -- and to his parent's surprise, my friend showed them his savings. they used it to start a small business and he was able to graduate college and redeem their lost business

yes for me u certaintly should.. y? because..i've done this before..didnt save,so there times when emergency came i dont have any saving n have to rely on my parents, n i really dont want to rely on them that much on money because they have other things to pay,my pocket money n so on..n sometimes i just eat one meal per day to cover back the money i've spend before...its miserable for me... so now when my parents gave me pocket money 10-20% i'll save it for the times when emergencies comes... so i once again say that, yes student should start saving
