Snow just likes to ruin a day doesn't it?

I was supposed to take my daughter to the doctor today for her 1 year checkup. My son's school calls to say that they are letting out early, too. I had to reschedule my daughters appointment so I could be here when my son gets off the bus. He will be home in about 1 1/2 hours. It just started snowing about 10 minutes ago. The forecast is calling for 5 to 10 inches of snow. I really hope that is wrong!! If it snows a lot chances are my son will not have school tomorrow either. We live in the country on gravel roads, so the buses won't run if there is snow on the roads. I hate snow. Anyone else hate snow too? Or do you actually like it?

We got about 5 inches. My son's school decided to close for today too, so he gets a total of a 3 1/2 day weekend from school.

We were forecasted to get 1-3 inches today, but so far, not a flake has flown. I'm not complaining!!! I would have just went in and picked up my son on the way to the appointment, even if that meant leaving a little early. I hate the snow. Actually I hate winter. I am not a cold weather person. I live out in the country like you do, and although I hate the cold wintery months, I love where I live. I have privacy, no close neighbors, and I can have my cats and dogs and horses and nobody can tell me not to, (Some cities and towns limit the number of pets you can have). I'm in Kansas so we've had a particularly awful winter so far, with ice storms and more snow than I can remember in a long time. Yup, I hate snow too!!

Lucky you with the no snow. We have probably a 1/4 inch accumulation right now, but the flakes are huge and sticking, so I am sure it is just a matter of time before it is really thick. With any luck it will stop soon. *crossing fingers* I know what you mean about the country life. It is kinda nice to be far away from everyone else.

In our country there is no snow. So It would be an interesting experience to have a snow here. But obviously that is the common thing we feel. Like for example, when its raining very badly we hope that its stops and if its hot and warm, we hope there is rain. Well, I really would want to have some snow not basically because I want it but because I am ignorant on it feels to touch the snow. So basically it just out of curiosity, since I might not be able to survive such cold most especially that I am accustomed to our country's climate.
