Kids Say the Cutest Things

I am watching two of my friends kids today while she attends to some things and right now they are all in my living room playing. So I have a 4 yr old girl and a 5 yr old girl of hers playing with my 5 and 6 year old boys. My oldest son just ran over to me looking absolutely horrified. It seems my friends 4 year old girl told him she loved him and kissed him on the cheek. Then she went to do the same to my 5 year old boy but he hid under the coffee table. This made her 5 year old sister mad. Her sister said that she loves my 5 year old boy because he kissed her on the cheek the last time he saw her. I am laughing so hard I am almost crying. At least they are still young. I hope they outgrow this because the last thing I need is 4 teenagers fighting over each other.

That's so cute! We have a neighbour whose daughter is the same age as my son...and they look like siblings too (I swear there was no hanky-panky...lol...we hadn't even met each other when we had the kids..lol) and there were so many cute incidents...but now the girl seems to be off boys and prefers to play with the girls...which makes my son so sad. But everytime they are together, they are the best of friends one moment and complaining about each other the next...and I can't help laugh at the things they say. they also have a cute jig they made up together...it's more fun to watch....maybe I should put it on youtube!

One day when my daughter was 5 years old (now 21) we were on our way home from a long trip and my little girl looks up at me ask " Mom am I a Virginian?" I though I knew what she was really trying to say , so I ask "What do you mean?" She says " well on the Sally Jessie show..." Then I knew for sure what she was saying. And I told her, "No hunny your a Kansan"

Kids are SO funny! I will never forget the last conversation that I had with my nephew at Christmas time. He was told that he needed to tell his Aunt Kimmie (me) what his idea was for a Christmas present for his Pawpaw, my Father. I have to admit that my Dad is not one of those guys who is aging even remotely close to gracefully. He's a skirt chaser and, I think, in denial about getting older sometimes. Anyway, I almost peed myself when my nephew informs me, at his father's behest, that he thought they should get my Father a medic alert bracelet, because, "every old person should have one. And what if pawpaw falls and he can't get up?" My Father was horrified. My Mother, who divorced my Father, the skirt chaser, almost 30 years ago, thought it was delightfully amusing.

That is so cute. I love how cute kids can be. Mine are teenagers now and I miss the cute little things they use to say and do when they were younger.

But that is the cutest thing .. Did you get any pictures of them LOL!! Oh and what did your son have to say about being fought over. LOL!!!
