Soo i have been doing alot of thinking..and even asked mylot about this prob and yet they have got back to me..and i have been reading more and more of people who are or have went threw this..You write a thread//or post a discussion and someone or some people dont agree with your opinions..next thing you know your star drops..next day it drops again.YOu did nothing wrong by MYLOT RULES..just angering people..or a person..then they go and hunt down your other threads..your star drops again..just because they dont agree with you..I BELIEVE THIS IS NOT FAIR OR RIGHT!! Did you know that you also lose money when your star drops? i was gettin a whole lot more money for my posts than i do now..and its harder to get your star back up...and yet soo easy for it to drop..again..NOT RIGHT!..and im sick of it! if someone is goin to give anyone a negative rating..they need to explain why and let mylot agree if they deserve to lose that star..and neg rating..Soo talk to me..who has this happened to..what happened..and do u like the idea of having to explain why they are giving the Neg rating?

I have never noticed actually, i kinda just come in and do my posting and talk to people, i dont pay attention to the ratings and all that mine anyways. i do rate others and i think ive only ever rated 3 people - only because they were doing somthing totaly uncalled for. like talking crap to someone or being totaly mean to somoene in there discussion reponses. but i do not hunt them down. and rate them negative for all of there stuff. thats is a bit far and childish to me..

hey there mikes woman lol..yes there are soo many immature people in teh world its insane..and i have noticed more and more latley how immature they really are..and its not just me having these issues..i just posted on another thread that this woman is having the same problems..its just wrong..well maybe they will see this and maybe check into this problem a bit more..thanks for replying!

I have never heard of this before now...I always justgive everyone a positive feedback unless they just say something rude which I havne't had to do on this website so far(knock on wood)I dont think that it is right if you have to go and explain why you think that other people gave you a negative rating because obviously you dont know why they gave you a negative rating...I also agree with you that they should have to give you a reason if they are going to give you a negative feedback...to tell you what you did that was wrong in their eyes!

hey there jhl..how it goin..im sorryu but i think ytou misunderstood me..noo i know you misunderstood me..lol.what i ment in my discussion was that i think that if soemone is goig to give soemone a negative rating..that they should explain to Mylot why they are giving it just like you have to when you report someone..its just way to way too easy to take someone elses star down this way..when you have to work a million times more to gain it back..its just wrong..I think this is just more fair to everyone..also i dont think that anyone should be able to give any feedback unless they are responding to that post.thanx for replying!

No I don't like it and I don't think it's right either. My star recently dropped (not a whole lot thankfully) because I pissed someone off - for just like you said - disagreeing with them.
I didn't know about the money factor though. That's the thing that is most important to me -- not my rating. I know how my friends on here feel about me :)

I've dropped 3 colors overnight so I know exactly what you're saying. I've learned to choose my battles a little wiser but its true if you piss of one troll your star color is toast. I only think - ratings should be allowed if someone is rude or insulting but I doubt it'll ever be like that.
Are you sure you earn less $ with a smaller rating? I never noticed but I don't pay that close attention to the $ as its not that much $ anyway.

ohh myy!! thats soo wrong!! im sorry ur going threw this as well..i dont even chose battles and i started like 4 posts last night and today woke up with one less star..im soo tired of this..and yes im sure we get less money..i do just as much as i always do and im making half of what i used to.and i usally make 10 -20 a month here and im struggling with about 5$ a mth..oh well..its not liek a job but i think if they arent responsible..mylot that is for our stars..then they shouldnt hold less money against us..rrrghh..still aggitated:(

Well if it is the same person(s) hunting down your posts just to negatively rate you, then they are obviously very immature. It is unfortunate that you are the unlucky victim of such behavior. I do not know how MyLot can prevent this or track it with the current system. But I do believe that having to enter a reason for the negative rating would be helpful, in that MyLot moderators can possibly spot frivolous ratings. They should do this on negatives only though, else ratings would be thrown out altogether for inconvenience. -Tink

I know..and the fact she had her mommy and mylot friends follow her and nothing and was done even after i complained its just as wrong..and if they dont try an dfix this problem..not just for me but everyone else that its happening to..its just going to keep getting worse..ty for ur reply and have a good one tink!

I guess I dont really concern myself with the star rating thing or whether or not my star is up or down etc..BUT I also didnt know that ones star rating affected their pay level either...
As for having to explain why one rates another a neg...I think thats a great idea really..OR and this might be easier, SHOWING who rated who what if that makes sense..that way it'd be much easier for us to SEE a pattern and/or if we're being stalked (which seems to be a popular game with the trolls here) and that way if one IS being stalked and harrassed (which is exactly what it is when someone follows you around rating all your posts "-") action can be taken against the troll..

I don't think it's fair either. People rate you negatively just because they don't agree with you, that's not what it's there for. I think when someone gives you a negative rating, you should have to post a comment about why you're doing it. It shouldn't just be an anonymous thing to go and punish someone.

Oh, that is really not nice and a very immature behaviour. There should be a way to prevent such actions I hope myLot system will develop something to prevent that kind of issues.

I wish people who decide to join forum and message boards would not take everything so personally. I have been on many boards where as soon as someone posts somethng someone else does not like they are off reporting the person. It is sad that people can not just agree to disagree.
