my guess is the anti-bacterial properties in the honey help prevent further decay. The oils MAY have re-enamel ingredients in them (like calcium) but I would have to research it to really know. Butter should have calcium but I would think the other ingredients would negate the effect.

Ok, the link to the Seagate Manager is a software download. It mainly is a program to automate backups to a Freeagent drive, but I was thinking that MAY also contain updated drivers for the drives too. (Big IF - but Free - so wouldn't hurt to try)

I forgot to mention that there are also USB driver packages to try. (I can't find the one I used...not sure where it went now but here a some others) because sometimes reinstalling the USB drivers themselves helps.
