How much is too much?

When you are feeling depressed, you would always hear people telling you that it'll be alright soon or that you will never really be given problems that you can't handle, etc. etc. But when things has been rough for a long time and nothing ever works for you no matter what you do to change the situation, you begin to lose faith in almost everything --sometimes you just wish you can be still...

I know when I go through my bouts of depression I don't want to hear that things will get better. I have felt as if I couldn't go on when things have gotten really bad. Some days I don't even bother getting out of bed till 10-11 am. All because I know that this day is going to be the same as the last. I'm going through another rut right now, so I know how you feel. My mom told me the other day that it will all work out in time. I don't have time. I've been waiting on this time for almost a year and a half now and my luck still hasn't changed. If it's not one thing it's another. What to do?

I agree with your response, sometimes we lack family support too. I look at depression as a disease. And it can't be cured entirely.

to not give up, to do everything and everything, to strive, to hope... sometimes you can't help but ask, will this ever end? i hope so...

A lot of people who are not depressed don't understand what we go through. They either think were insane or that it's a condition we could get over just like that. One friend even toldme that if I go to church, I'll never be depressed again. I don't agree..... But I'm sure Church would help.

people around you can say anything they want to try to help u out in your current dilemma. but in the long run, you're still the one who will decide if you would take their advice or not. yes, sometimes it's good to just be still. and most of the time it is best if you try to handle problems on your own. but then again, they say that "no man is an island" and that one way and another we still need other people to get us through.
