chocolate and a woman @ that time of the month!!

ive always wondered what is it in chocolate that makes a woman want it in the menstrual cycle of the month? well im not sure if its the chocolate in general or something in it or something our body is thriving for. i dont know but if anyone has any advice on this please let me know.

I start craving chocolate hardcore about one week before my period gets here. My husband says thats because of the caffeine which is a natural thing in cocoa powder.

I was just thinking it might also have something to do with the fact that chocolate is an aphrodisiac. I don't know for sure about that though!

I don't think it is really a craving or anything like that. I know for me it is simply that I love chocolate. And if I can use my "that time of the month" to justify eating a candy bar a day for a week then I will. :)

I think the issue with chocolate and women during menstruation, is that women are generally in a bad mood at that time of the month, and we like chocolate, so chocolate makes us feel better, and elevates our mood. If it makes us happy, we'll do it.
