What are you giving up for lent?

Ok guys so over here in cold wet england it's pancake day which means lent starts tomorrow so what are you planning on giving up? I'm not sure if I'm gona give anything up as over the years my will power has got worse. I guess I should so my aim will be to give up beer and cake - it might also help me shed a couple of pounds!

As a kid I was forced to give up something each year for lent.. normally it was candy or gum (remember I was a kid).. since hitting adulthood I no longer follow the whole lent thing. So I don't plan on giving anything up!

I haven't given up anything for Lent in so many years! I'm of the Catholic religion and believe in God but as far as anything else goes I don't get "into" the church thing any more. The way they take it upon themselves to change things I'm waiting for the day when they tell us we don't have to give up anything for Lent any more (if they haven't already).
