The flu

i.q. flu? -
I've got the flu. It has it's usual components. It gives you aches, pains, a nasty cough, fever. There is one component about this bug that is a bit unusual. I was thinking, while I had the worst of it, that my IQ dropped a few points! I walked around in a fog of "Duh" for days, and still have moments.

Any one else have the Stupid, or the "Duh" flu?

Can there be a variant of the I.Q. FLU?

I don't know...I get the flu shot every year. That's cuz my asthma puts me at high risk. Take vitamins and eat right?

When I have a really bad flu I am lucky enough to remember my own name. No one should even try to talk to me until I am well enough to leave my room.

Maybe you need to go to the Doctor, drink plenty of fluids and get plenty of rest.

I am doing the latter two...the doctor bit won't do much unless I go into infection or secondary condition because there is little Doctors can do for viral issues.

I have had that a few times. Not just the "Duh" flu, but just plain old "dumb-dumb fever" as well. I attribute it to the fact of your body using so much energy to fight off germs and recooperate, that it doesn't have enough energy left to run the brain at full capacity lol. So you end up not only being sick, but being a dummy for a couple of days. Just treat it like the rest of the cold. Get plenty of rest, fluids, vitamin C, etc, so the body has enough strength to fight the cold off, and the I.Q. should go back to normal as well.

It is common in cold winter season. Virus raid on nasal and respiratory section of the body. But the virus start to eat the viruses and gradually these become week with the passage of time. Here is a recipe for taking rid of the critical position. Joshanda is centuries old herbal tea for flu, cough, cold, catarrh, irritation of throat and fever. It is available in instantly solvable form. You can mix it in a cup of hot water or hot tea and sip lowly. Use thrice a day. If your throat is infected with onions, then you should use antibiotics after consultation of medical experts
