You know, I say to my kids all the time, "Make sure you don't lose that!"... and usually they are pretty good about not losing things... So yesterday, we go to the orthodontist for Jillian. She has to get a spacer put in the roof of her mouth to expand her palate before she gets braces. He explains how I have to use this little tool (looks like a crochet hook but pointier) to turn the spacer every day. I put it in my purse and we're on our way. I go to work, then go home last night and look in my purse for it and it's gone. It's not in my purse. It's not in the van. I ask Jillian if she took it out of my purse and she says No, she didn't touch it! I'm thinking maybe it dropped out of my purse at work yesterday, so I come in this morning and it's not here! How the heck could I lose it in less than a day????? I am so mad at myself! Now I have to call the orthodontist and admit that I lost the stupid thing in less than a day! How embarrassing! Grrrr!!!!! Do you tend to lose things?

I lost my 2nd mobile phone which I use for reloading and I only put it under my pillow. I have a mobile which was given to me by hubby and which I use and bring with me wherever I go, its usually in my bag. The 2nd phone is memorable to me because I bought it from my salary. I had been looking for the mobile and I can't find it. How can it be lost inside my room, sure my sons didn't get it coz they have 2 mobile phones each. I figure it out that it might have dropped on the small trash can beside my bed and I didnt notice it. I just remember that when I was removing the plastic thrash bag, it was sort of heavier than usual, but didnt look inside coz I was in a hurry to give it to the garbage collector. I know that mobile phone is a little bit old, but i still feel sad having lost it.

What I hate is that I'll sit something down, say my housekeys, go off and do something, come back for the keys and they are gone, I'll look all over, double check everywhere they could possibly be, then go back to the original spot and there they will be, big as life, right where I left them. That irritates me to no end. !!HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!! **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I have to hang my keys and watch up right by the door when I come in, they are particularly bad about disappearing. I have the same thing happen to me. I will look, and then overlook them. My purse is right where I remembered, and my client thinks I am funny because I left it.

Sometimes I lose things, especially if I am tired or stressed. I do not know what to tell you, my purse is missing. I think I left it at my second job last night. Long story on that, I think I know how it happened, if it did. I would almost bet that as soon as you call and get a second one, the new one will show up. Someplace obvious, of course.

My purse is where I thought it might be. I have lots of spares in my life. It is nice to know that there are others in that boat.

I would lose my head if it were not attached and I am not kidding. I know your frustration very well. I try to put things in their proper place, so I can find them next time. All too often, I am tearing up my room, just to find my keys. I always lose my ATM card. I had to have it replaced two times last year. Also, last year I forgot my insurance card at the front desk of my doctors office. By the time I needed it again, it had been like three months. I tore my apartment up about three times that weekend, trying to find it. I have two cards and I could not find either one. I realized that I could have left it at the doctor's office, but it was the weekend, So I could not call to be sure. So I searched and searched, finally I called on Monday and they were nice enough to tell me how long it had been there. I am dangerously forgetful when I have a lot on my mind. I also become accident prone.

I have done that with little things in my purse so many times. I don't know what your purse is like but I have so often found something i thought i'd lost just caught in a crease or fallen into my checkbook or something. I'll bet you'll find it after you go thru the embarrassment and hassle of getting a new one.

my wife is the loser in our family because she leave stuff at peoples home and stores...she just puts it down and forgets it..if i remind her she gets annoyed and says . yeah ..i know what i am doing etc etc then when she does not have her glasses, keys, watch, etc she gets all paranoid and blames everyone but herself but i have two sets of gloves..both the same color and style..and what do i do? i lose the right hand glove of both sets..and we live in Michigan..USA..and its a cold climate..i try to keep my keys and wallet in the same place..as i have dropped stuff..it falls out of my pocket..in my coat.but i zip the pocket everytime i use it..or it will be gone too I have lost my wedding ring in our house and looked everywhere..but a year later i found it the place i left it..this has happened to other stuff like stamps and i find it and both my wife and i swear we checked that place and there is only the two of US? somethimes i think there is a Poltergeist (ghost:( but that is my silly thought..but maybe? sorry about your loss..i hope this spacer shows up...at least your daughter did not do this..i would rather be the bad guy then to see someone i love suffer over a loss..but it still hurts..good luck
