Doesn't anyone know how to design clothes?!

When you're fat, the designers think you're a foot taller than you really are and that your arms are down past your knees while your legs are six inches shorter than they actually are. It's easier now that I've lost a bunch, but I have about forty more to go and now that I'm buying new clothes instead of re-sewing and tacking my old ones, I can't believe how difficult it is to get clothing that even remotely fits! Just a rant, thanks for listening. :-)

I know what you mean about the designers. I don't have a problem with things being too long because I am 5'10" but they make clothes for a heavier person like they are old! I am talking grandmother old. Sometimes I find it so frustrating!

My mom is also tall, used to be 6' but now only 5'10 at 83yrs old. She had to pay through the nose at the tall shops and still has trouble finding pants long enough. To make it worse, we're both high waisted. When I was thin, jeans that fit in the bottom were too big at the waist and my butt wasn't that big! If I got them to fit at both waist and bottom, they were too long and covered my feet. Who are these mutants that they make clothes for?! I don't think I've ever seen one!

You made me laugh so hard about the mutants. Thank you! And I totally agree with you!
