I for one hated the product. I feel there are much better products that you can use.

AVG is brilliant. It runs so much faster than Norton, or any other antivirus that you have to pay for. Don't think that this means it is of an inferior quality, because it still picks up everything Norton does, and some that it doesn't.

In all the years I have used AVG I have not had a single viral issue. I use AVG Anti-Spyware and Anti-Virus free editions. My bf used to use Avast, but moved over to AVG after Avast actually got mangled by a virus that AVG ate up and spat out. Although I am also using WindowsCare now, which spots a few spyware things AVG doesn't.

Unfortunately not. AVG consistently ranks near the very bottom among the competitors at AV-Comparatives in terms of heuristic (proactive) detection: http://www.av-comparatives.org/

Works for me. I do daily scans with it and it's found issues I never knew I had and I'm glad I use it. I haven't had any issues with my computer since starting with it.
